I have a question or two. Just one now but might be more
@bunnyfungo for sure maybe can answer.
When your dd started nursing less and eating more solids did you notice your supply go down?
I haven't changed anything in my routine but j have noticed that when she nurses for naps and stuff sometimes my supply seems lower and it actually hurts.
I planned to let her self wean, is it going to hurt every time she is nursing since I won't have a bunch of milk or idk how it works.
Idk how any of it works lol, I had a goal of giving it s try and then a goal of 3 weeks now it's been 9 months!
Please when you have time explain how this works(anyone who has self weaned a tiny tot)
Tia!
Re: Nursing moms!
DD self weaned just under a year - my plan was a year, so that was fine. I hadn't noticed any pain, my milk production reduced (which is to be expected if LO isn't eating as much since it's a supply and demand system), but I still had adequate supply to feed her.
I became enforced for a couple days after she finally stopped nursing.
DS1 weaned just under a year as well. I suspect my milk production dropped significantly due to being almost 5-6 months pregnant and my return to work. Still no pain.
LO is still going strong. He nurses 5-6 times in 24 hours usually (down from 10 times).
Is the pain in your nipple, whole breast, specific part of breast?
I've had occasional nipple pain, but I blame that on having a wet nursing pad 95% of the time when it happens. I air dry and get a fresh nursing pad. Breast pain could be a small clogged duct (I get clogs after excessive pressure - if I wear underwire bra, I get a clogged duct where the wire rubbed/poked).
Good luck.
They do still get firm but not much, they are acting the way they did when I had started working out-but only thing is im not currently doing any special work outs
Just the whole breast, maybe clogged or something and it's not a big deal :-S I don't think I've had that yet.... So could be that.
No period yet *knocks on all the wood**
It hasn't hurt today.
Turns out I was knocked up and my supply tanked.
Ps I was nana.
Why don't I know what this means?
In all seriousness I did get my period back at 9 weeks, but it was never what it used to be. Instead of a 4 week cycle i got used to 6 week cycles. No rhyme or reason that I could see besides just different genetics playing in. (To why it came back when it did)
Ie—my SIL had her baby end of October 13, only nursed exclusively for 3 months, stopped altogether by 6 months, and she and I got our PP periods around the same time.
Longest before that was 30.5 months. (After DD was born I was on Depo Provera until I had surgery when she was a little over 18 months, then I got my period back)
This time I went from having DS1 to pregnant again quickly.
I'm kinda hoping it shows up soon, but also enjoying that it hasn't come back yet. Lol.
