I have no words. *Trigger warning*

I never judge others for their decision regarding abortion, adoption, or keeping a baby, but this just makes me sad. I can't imagine terminating a pregnancy at 7 months. Some people have outside babies at 7 months. Just.....wow.

  • I'll probably be the one with the UO on this one, but I think the worst part about this is that the legal nature of the situation delayed a termination to 28 weeks, when it was requested at 23 weeks. It should not require five weeks negotiation. It should have been performed as soon as the choice was made. I am not a fan of late-term abortion that occurs during high-viability - but this termination was requested during low-viability, and should have been carried out then - not a month later.

That is not the worst part about this by a long shot.

We are so thankful that our second daughter, Lillian Elizabeth "Lily", was born healthy and happy on February 11, 2013.  We love her to pieces.

We lost our first daughter, Hannah Grace on May 4, 2011.  She was buried on May 14 during a beautiful service at my home church. We are grateful that if she could not be here with us, that she is healed and whole with the Lord. We look forward to the day when we will get to meet her. We love her so much.

  • That gets a woof from me.

I can't pretend to understand what was going on in the woman's mind. I am pro choice. But at 28 weeks, or even at 23, I'm not sure I understand why you wouldn't just carry the child to term and give it up for adoption if you honestly didn't think you could handle raising it. You're over halfway through with the pregnancy at 23, and at 28 you're pretty darn close to giving birth.
