TTC After a Loss

intro

Hi ladies,
I've been lurking here for about a month, so I figure it's time to introduce myself.

I had a mc Nov 9 at 6 weeks. Although it was early, it was still devastating, as I'm sure you all know. Obviously there's no way of knowing if it was a boy or girl, but for some reason I had a girl in my head before I even got my bfp. I think that's how I'll always think about "her."

Slowly but surely I'm moving on, although I definitely have experienced some big triggers. We have the go-ahead to try again since I just had a normal af. I'm not nearly as excited about trying this time. It all feels very mechanical. My hope is that I can find a little comfort here and offer my support when I can.

Some fun upbeat things about me... I work at a zoo. I'm a California girl now living in a landlocked state. I've been married for 6 years. And I've traveled on 6 continents. Looking forward to getting to know you all!

  • Thanks for the welcomes. I'm an educator at our zoo, which I know is not as cool as being a keeper, but I love it! I get to work with people of all ages, and do handle some animals, but I don't have to clean up poop, haha! It's the best of both worlds.

  • I love animals! And I love traveling! DH is in the Air Force and I thought we would go somewhere "different" when we moved. Well, our first assignment is in the same state we were already living in. High hopes for our next assignment...

"Mechanical". That sounds accurate for me too. I think it's because of this lingering "numb" feeling.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I just intro'd today too. You are welcome in my book.

  • I am so sorry for your loss but welcome to the board. Awesome ladies here so I hope you find support and comfort here as I have :)

Awesome about your traveling and envious of your zoo job! Glad you don't have to pick up poop lol
I am not sure how to say this without getting a "solicitation" warning so I guess I just say that I am not longer active on THIS site.
