Is it okay to drink icees?

i have been craving an ice / Slushie for days now but I'm not sure if it's harmful for the baby. Is it okay to have one once in awhile? Does or has anyone had them while pregnant?

Personally I don't ever think its ok to drink those but I'm against most sugary/artificial drinks. But if you drink one or a few it isn't going to harm your baby. Just not very healthy.

The book Expecting 411 says that craving ice could indicate an iron deficiency. As for your icee question...maybe you could use that for your glucose test!

I had an icee not too long ago and I had this same thought after a friend told me her ob told her no to soft serve ice cream because of the machines and bacteria. I guess if you are concerned I wouldn't get your icee from the dirty gas station around the corner.

I had slurpees frequently during my first pregnancy. Everything was fine. Mariah Carey craved something like that too, btw.

I guess you must be worried about dirty machines or something? If that's the case, go to a place you trust or even make your own at home.

Icees do have caffein. Even the red and white ones. Just an FYI to everyone who is watching their caffein intake.

In college I worked somewhere that sold them... And this was a common question.
