Eye Contact

in July 2014 Moms
My LO has stopped making eye contact with me when I'm holding him upright. He continues to make eye contact with me when he's lying down. He will be 5 months next week. Has anyone else experienced this? Should I be concerned?

    @AJN‌ I feel like this might be a normal stage. I remember my older ones only looking at other people when holding them at some point. Almost 5 month DS is at that stage right now. When holding him, it's almost like his eyes are learning to focus far away so having a face so close to his, he'd rather look farther somewhere else cause it's so new and interesting. Looks at the person close to him just fine when not holding him tho, too. Asking your doc is always wise!
