  What do you mean by babycenter invasion?
  Informaseq is a prenatal screening test for trisomy and other birth defects.
  No need to comment if you arent familiar with the test.

  I had mine done and it also told me the sex of the baby. The results were back in 7 days but I had to call the office for the results.

  informaSeq^SM Prenatal Test - an advanced, non-invasive, next generation prenatal screening for T21, T18, and T13 chromosomal aneuploidies that can be administered as early as 10 weeks gestation.

  • informaSeq - Appropriate for high-risk patients with singleton and twin pregnancies.  Provides only risk assessment for the most common autosomal trisomies.
  • informaSeq with Y analysis - Appropriate for high-risk patients with singleton and twin pregnancies.  Provides risk assessment for the most common autosomal trisomies and fetal gender, but not sex chromosome aneuplodies.  
  • informaSeq with XY analysis - Appropriate for high-risk patients with singleton pregnancies.  Provides risk assessment for the most common autosomal trisomies, sex chromosome aneuploidies, and fetal gender.

  Specimen Requirements: 

  Whole blood

  • Use only the black and tan capped blood collection tubes from the informaSeq kit
  • One Streck tube, minimum 7 mL
  • Store samples at room temperature and transport at ambient temperature in the informaSeq kit

  Turnaround Time:
  5-7 business days
