D14 December Siggy- Free For all:
So here's my little rant. I don't care that I'm late, my EDD was the 17th. I had anticipated being late. However, my last day of work was last week. I've been off work all this week and I feel so guilty because I'm eating into my time with baby. On the flip side, I am getting rest, I'm getting alot of things done that I normally wouldn't and because Im not commuting the swelling has gone down. I did ask about working from home the problem is there's not much for me to do away from my desk, plus my fill in had already started and been taking alot on so my stuff was dwindling. Pushing the work from home kinda seemed immoral? unethical? cause i would basically be working for 2 hours of answering emails and that's it. DH isn't exactly supportive in this so I'm feeling even more guilty. In total I planned to take the full 12 weeks so I guess it'll be like 10 with baby which is, still a good amount of bonding time and getting on my feet with the new baby (I am a FTM) but I still can't shake the guilt. Of course the more he talks about it it makes me want to cry and then I feel silly cause I shouldn't be so upset.
