Is it bad if your dr looks at your series of u/s and asks " where's her uterus?" I am so not kidding. Waiting is exam room now. I overheard her as I walked up after getting dressed

    you go to regular gyn appts, right? i mean, they check your uterus at each. so it's not like you don't have one and they just realized it. i wouldn't go freaking out yet. but ask questions when they come in if they don't give you the info you want.

    strange...on multiple levels...I would definitely mention to them that you overheard them from the waiting room...what if there were other patients with you?  It is your right that they keep that stuff quiet, it's a violation of HIPAA for them to be so loud.

    edited- I didn't see the part about you walking after you got dressed..either way, they should have discussed in a private area, away from all patients, again what if you were another patient?

    are you sure they weren't talking about your cervix?

    Otherwise, I bet it wasn't literal. I wonder if maybe you have a tilted uterus or something so it doesn't exactly look normal. I highly doubt they are saying you don't have a uterus at all.

    See my F/U to appt post above.  Basically, the lining was very thick so  she wasn't seeing the big "open" space she was expecting. 

    And the conversation was happening in the nurses station which is between the scale/bathroom and the exam room I was headed to.  The u/s tech left me to get dressed and went to give the dr the results.  My name wasn't mentioned.
