Outgrowing bassinet

I have noticed that LO does not have much extra space in her bassinet. She is quite the wiggler and will sometimes end up with her feet pushed against the bottom. I have started putting her head closer to the top, but it's a matter of time at this point.

I really don't feel ready transitioning her into the nursery. We are still up 2 sometimes 3 times a night to feed.

I guess my question is this, is it safe to put a mattress in the PNP to make it more comfortable? We can fit it in our room. Or do I need to let it go & just move her to the nursery?

  • I think on the PNP instructions it says not to but I know a few people in here have put a mattress in. I have not. The warnings on the Inside of the PNP scare me.

  • I would not at night if you are sleeping. My daycare requires a pack N play with a 2 inch mattress. The closest fit I could find still has small gaps. My state requires 2 inch mattresses at daycares. Although I am hesitant about it she will be supervised the whole ttime.
  • Aren't there specific PNP mattresses?
