Belly Button Randomness

So, I knew pregnancy could do weird things to belly buttons, but I wasn't expecting to end up needing to do special care for it. Mine is definitely still an inny but a scrunched up one that I gotta clean and dry and put antibiotic ointment in. Anyone else having interesting experiences with their belly buttons? Can anyone still fit anything in there? Lol ;)

  • Mine is still an innie, but I don't really have to do anything special to it.

  • Same as PP. I'm still an innie, but it doesn't require special attention.

  • Mine is working itself into an outie. It's been flat for awhile, but is just starting to poke out. I haven't had to do anything special with it.

Why do you need to put antibiotic ointment on it? Has your skin split open

  • It's not split or anything, it just is scrunched up and moisture is getting trapped inside which makes it a happy place for bacteria and fungus. I caught on really early so it never got ugly (just noticed one day I had a little crusty pus just inside) and asked doctor about it. So I just gotta take a little extra care. :-)
  • NO change. I'm still an innie. It didn't change in my other 2 pregnancies either
  • Mines an innie but I couldn't really stick my finger in it towards the end of my pregnancy. Now that the baby is out, I can stick my finger in it again. Feels weird.

I always remember after delivery my belly button still feels a little stretched out.

Mine is still innie, I've never gotten an outie
  • Still an innie. I was kinda hoping it would pop out but much to my disappointment it didn't. Oh well. Yet somehow it's like a shallow innie. I have to clean it while I'm about to go potty though because when I clean it it intensifies the need to pee. Weird. My DS is also obsessed with my belly button. It gets kind of annoying.
  • Mine is just completely flat. It's usually an innie, but right now it's as if I don't have one at all.

  • Still an innie here, thank goodness.  Never 'popped' with any pregnancies.

  • Mine is totally an outtie...and its sensitive to the touch...so if I kind of bump into a wall or door frame while turning or something it usually throbs a lil. Not comfortable experience.

  • Mine is half out at the top and flat at the bottom and about to be all out.

  • Mine was a total outie with my first two. This time i call it a baseball hat...the top pokes out like the brim of a hat but the bottom is still tucked away inside!
  • I thought mine was for sure going to pop out the other week. It was flat and when I would what it while I breathed it would pop out and go back in. But now that LO dropped it's an innie again.

  • Mine is an outie now. However, it is no longer in the middle of my belly, but off to the side.

  • Mine is slightly popped. My baby likes to stick her foot out in it :P

  • Mine is very close to flattie status. I didn't pop out last time, so I'm not expecting to this time...
  • Mine is half innie, half outtie lol 35+5
  • Mine's kind of weird looking. It just started poking out a tad at the top but is flat everywhere else. It's very sensitive and for some reason, DH wants to touch it all the time.

  • Another half-innie-half-outie here. The outie part is REALLY outie though and you can see it through my clothing.

It didn't pop with DS though it did become more shallow.  I hope it goes back to normal after this little lady!

  • My husband said mine looked like an anus the other day...
  • It's mostly flat, maybe slightly still an innie?

  • mine is still and innie but it's gone all smiley-face on me (which it didn't do last time) and looks like it's threatening to half-pop...like the top part wants to pop out but the bottom doesn't.  no special care here either.
