AW: Happy Birthday, Eli!

Eli turned 1 today!!!  DH took off so we could spend the day as a family.  My parents took us out to lunch and after Eli's nap we are headed to Toys R Us for his Jeffrey birthday balloon and crown as well as picking out a new toy-just in case he didn't get enough presents already ;) We had a family party on Saturday but my family couldn't make it so he will have another on Monday and then celebrating with DH's grandma after Christmas since she lives out of town.

ETA: We had a frustrating experience with our birthday cake.  We ordered through Walmart's bakery a week ahead.  DH showed up to pick up the cake and they forgot to make the smash cake.  They offered him one from their display cooler but all they had were christmas cakes and the colors were ugly.  Luckily there is a Mariano's on the way home so DH was able to get the polka dot smash cake.  Eli loved it and sat there eating the polka dots before diving into the rest of the cake.
