Okay, it's kind of too late at this time so maybe the point is moot, but I wanted to know for the future since I am horrifically clumsy and tend not to focus carefully on physical tasks. Plus it's just driving me crazy.
Last night I needed to reconstitute and mix 2 vials of Bravelle in the syringe with a Q-Cap. After getting the diluent and the first vial in the syringe, I accidentally plunged everything back into the diluent bottle, so the meds were mixed in 2mL+ diluent instead of 1mL.
I freaked out, since the concentration was off, and wasn't sure if I could just add the second vial of meds and just inject a lot more liquid into myself, or if that would be dangerous or not work or something. So, very flustered, I just threw away the syringe (including 1 vial of Bravelle in it now) and started over.
Did I just waste, for no reason, $60+ of meds that could have been saved for IVF? Or would it have been really bad to use the entire 2mL+ of diluent (distilled water I assume) to inject?
Thank you!!
