Had my u/s yesterday and today - dr had seen one "really nice" 21 mm follie that he was super excited about (not me, I wanted several) and what could be other follies or cyst activity and he said my endo was "super lush" and he liked everything he was seeing. So, I triggered Tuesday morning and will have IUI Wednesday night. Now the 2ww starts over the holidays which means NO drinking! It's going to be a LONG Christmas...
I do have two questions - first, after my last IUI in July, my periods are three days (usu 5 - 6) light, heavy, light...done! Dr says no biggie, things change. Anyone experience a change in their cycle like this? Second, I am sure there are cysts in the RO and I am def tender there but does anyone else have more tenderness with injectables?
I am going to POAS tomorrow morning to see if I can get a + with the trigger (couldn't before so my urine probably doesn't metabolize HCG). I really hope I can so I can POAS instead of depending on a BETA.
Thank you, ladies!!
41 & single; DX: PCOS TTC #1 with IUI and donor sperm First IUI May, 2014, Clomid + Trigger = BFN Second IUI July, 2014, Clomid + Trigger = BFN Third IUI Dec, 2014, Femara + Follistim + Trigger = BFN Fourth IUI Feb 2015, Femara + Follistim + Trigger = C/P
I did a single dose of Menopur 150 IU this cycle to mature a few more follicles before trigger. The 2 days after trigger, my ovaries hurt so badly I had to take Tylenol. They felt bruised! In speaking with friends who've used injects, it seems normal.
Good luck!

2 IUI's BFN. DE best option. Switched clinics to do
"shared" program.
Had to retake all tests and a mamm that put me behind and then on a DE waiting list for 12 months.
Picked a donor!! (10/13/13) Got matched. Estimated transfer in December. After 2.5 years of patiently waiting I will finally cycle....can hardly believe it. DE cycle got cancelled. One of her tests came back positive. Waiting for another donor. Donor picked!! (1/18/14)
DE IVF #1 (4/26) BFN DE FET #1 (6/4) BFP! Beta 1=339 Beta 2=852 Beta 3=9957 EDD 2/22/15!!
No IUI experience but my period length has changed over the past few years. I used to have 5-6 day cycles and now I'm down to 3. My dr. Say that was fine. I guess we should believe the doctors. Good luck today. I so hope this one works for you.
I've had several IUI's and although the # of days of my cycle have not changed I've had other changes. I have less PMS (cramping and moodiness) and a lighter flow. I haven't experienced any noticable tenderness. I was thinking it had more to do with the progesterone I've been on because the one month I didn't take it, AF was same as pre-IUI
I will be having my IUI on Christmas eve day so no drinking for me during Christmas or New Year's. Boo! It will be worth it though if it's a BFP:-)
LOL...should I change my screen name to "super lush"??
This was quite a day - Fed Ex didn't follow instructions and drop the "shipment" and they were going to re-deliver tomorrow! My doctor actually called them and went to the FedEx facility to pick up the goods. Then, again, issues with getting that stupid tube in my cervix so had to clamp on and move around...that hurts and I swear I am going to throw up. Then when he was done, he took the clamp off and I started bleeding like a stuck pig! I thought, how nice, I go in to get pregnant and I end up bleeding out on the table! It's all good but after this entire ordeal, it better be positive!
thank you all for your good wishes

Sorry I have no IUI experience (yet) but I'm sending you good vibes and wishing you the best.
Also my cycles have gotten shorter over the past year. I just chalked it up to age... I don't know if that's why but now I feel like I should ask on my next visit.
