Tell me your first world problems.

Last night I forgot to put my lotion on the heat register in the bathroom during my bath, so I had to put cold lotion on after a hot soak. Sad. This morning there is something in my house beeping every half hour and we can't find it. Not a smoke detector, not the wine fridge (which occasionally turns its light on by itself), so I am out of ideas. Argh!

My outdoor Christmas light timer isn't working. The lights are either always on or always off. I have the pegs set and the arrow at the right time of day. Wtf.

I can't get the app for our baby monitor to work right in my phone. It randomly logs in and out.

The cat has fleas. We had to comb her, bathe her, comb again, brush, and apply flea medicine. She was NOT cooperative throughout the whole process. I've been working on washing everything she's been on or near.

We didn't have enough snow to have school closed but we had a two hour delay. I have a dr apt at 3:30 so I have to leave right after work. So now I don't have enough time to get all my work done in the 5 hours I'm at work.

My white chocolate strawberry creamer clashes with the pumpkin spice coffee my boss brewed today.

Walking my dog this morning, he took off after something and made me drop my chocolate mint truffle.

Chrome cast automatically turns on the TV in the living room but not the TV in the bedroom and I can never find the remote to turn it on myself.

I tried to go through the subway drive thru and they have this dumb new thing, it's a menu that's over 6 feet tall, but now we have to do a push screen to ring ourselves up, the screen is so tall that in order to reach we have to get out of the car to reach. Umm no, I'm not going to park my car in a drive thru, get out, ring myself up, insert my card to pay, get back in my car and drive up to get my sub. It's sounds lazy, but it's cold. The point of the drive thru is to not get out of my car. I'm really bummed, subway was my goto place when I eat out. Boo.

I inherited a jumperoo that was missing a part for the base. I call Fisher Price and that part is no longer made. Now I need to scour the internet to see if I can find it somewhere else. Aargh!

@skfg - just out of curiosity, what jumperoo is it? I bought one at a yard sale and it seems like LO will never grow into it. You mentioning a part is missing at the base makes more sense.

I guess my FWP is complaining about a garage sale purchase that was only $6.

I wanted Starbucks this morning. The drive thru line was insane and no parking to go in. I hit McDonald's instead. Now I remember why I like the coffee places better. Because I can customize there and get it to taste just right. Sorry McD's, your white chocolate latte wasn't very good. (but I am uber picky about lattes because I'm not a huge coffee drinker)

I still want an egg nog latte...sigh

@RedMar‌ the Jumperoo is jungle friends by FP. They had every other replacement base part available except the one I need. I found it on eBay, but it seems friggin ridiculous they stopped making that replacement part. I guess they want you to buy a brand new one. Makes me not want to buy anymore FP items.

As for your LO being too small for yours - someone suggested using a phone book under LO's feet if they are too short to touch the ground.

@redmar - your description of LO made me laugh

. Bummer you may have to throw it out - could you try getting a replacement seat. Maybe it is stretched out from being used by a giant baby. Amazon has free returns on most things baby.

@RedMar‌ - I hope you don't mind me just jumping in, but my LO is a peanut and looks like she's being swallowed by her seat as well. We stick a blanket behind her so she doesn't fall backwards. She absolutely loves her jumperoo so I hope you can find something that you both love and works!

1) I found out today, on my birthday, that I've been denied my Christmas bonus. Even though I'm definitely returning to my job when Mat leave is over and they obv know this.

2) I have no junk food in the house so I can't eat my feelings.

@nicolemcm, I don't know if this has anything to do with it, but I was denied a bonus right before I had Charlie because I had already resigned. I gave them three MONTHS notice so that we could get the right person in and train them up to full speed before I left. Per company policy, once you resign, you are no longer an employee in good standing and therefore don't qualify. It sucked, big time, because I fucking deserved it. I hope that it's something simple that can be fixed for you. Perhaps because you are on leave? Either way it's shitty and I hope you get something out of it!

Update: my HR rep (also by bestie) went to the decision makers and voiced my displeasure and set up the meeting for me to talk about it on Friday. Turns out they were planning to give me a full bonus next year in lieu of one this year. They've since given me the option of half this year and half next year (worked 5 months this year and will be working 7 months next year). I more or less wanted to know I was at least considered, feeling much better now.
