Awhile back I shared that one of my really good friends, Trina was going through having to get her breast cancer cut out at 21 years old.
Many of you were awesome and shared some prayers with her!
Great news! They were able to catch her cancer early enough to remove the mass without chemo!
She does however still need to go in for check ups every now and then to make sure her cancer doesn't come back.
We wanted to thank you ladies for your love and prayers!
While that is amazing news, it's also come to my attention that my co-worker Laura had also found a lump in her breast around the same time I had introduced her to Trina.
Not really thinking anything of it, she decided not to say anything.
About a week ago she finally told me that her lump had gone from the size of a marble to the size of a golf ball in about a couple of months!
and she didn't want to say anything at the time because she thought it was nothing but now she's scared.
I went with her on Monday to the radiologist to get a mammogram.
She got a call today that said she has two masses in her breast and they are sending her to one if the breast cancer specialists for a biopsy immediately. I'm so concerned for her. She's also only in her 20's.
I am glad that she met Trina and I almost wonder now if it was for a reason.
The cancer specialist that comes into my work was shocked when I told him about my friend Trina and he's even more shocked now that He got Laura's results back.
I don't even know what to say other than Check your breasts ladies please!

Re: The "c" word
Hopefully your friend caught it early enough!! T&P
I'm sorry to hear about your sister, Ts and Ps going her way for her surgery!
You are right, cancer has no prejudice. But it is rare(er) for younger women and men to develop breast cancer from what the Doctors were saying.

I'm very nervous for Laura but I will update when I can.
Best wishes to your first friend & many prayers for your coworker. That's frightening, for sure.
