Hello all! I posted here in the past but had gone a way for a while. Now I am back and would like to share my story.
I am 25 went through 1 natural iui cycle with donor sperm and 6 medicated iui with donor sperm. I had two CP and after the second I was sent for more bloodwork and found a balanced translocation. I was told my our RE that I would need to do IVF w/PGD. At this time I did not want move forward with my eggs. I just hated the idea of going through a cycle of IVF with such a high rate of having nothing in the end.
At this time my SO decided she would try with IUI. Prior to her start we knew she had PCOS. She had gone through 4 IUI cycles all BFN. RE recommend IVF for her as well. At this time we took a break discussed the options with partner IVF or also called donor IVF. SO will undergo IVF and I will carry and in future if we have frosties left over and she wants to carry she can.
Our RE office is relocating so they will not start new IVF cycles until March but I am glad that we have a plan. We will be starting our IVF March or April 2015 which will suit us best while we secure the funds we will be needing. We are lucky enough to have partial IVF coverage with my insurance. (they will only cover me with a balance translocation but they will not consider covering her with PCOS) the portion for SO will be out of pocket for procedure and medication.
There is so much information on this board and I have been popping by often to understand more. Currently we are planning IVF w/ ICSI RE is wanting us to do a Lupron trigger instead of HCG due to risk of over stim (SO had sever over stim on clomid) Any one have experience with Lupron Trigger?
Thank you ladies!! Looking forward to learning more from you all and hearing your stories.
Married in September 2010, started TTC journey November 2012
Me-

New Plan: Reciprocal IVF, me as carrier wife's eggs. Just went through insurance and received partial approval, so my part will go through my IVF benefits and wife's part will be out of pocket.
