We had our appointment yesterday, and DS only cried for about 5 minutes this time - phew, much less than at month 2.
He did spike a fever last night though, so I gave him a dose of Little Remedies His nap today is longer than usual, which might be on account of the shots too - but I won't complain since I had time to (gasp!) clean the apartment.
DD had hers on Tues. She cried for a few minutes and then I nursed her. She was fine the rest of the night. She moaned all through the night. She's been a little more sleepy and not as hungry the past two days.
Her two month shots she was very crabby that night and during the appointment. This time, she just took it all in and was fine with the doc examining her.
@kareik01 When DS was a baby, he had shots at 2 mo, 4 mo, 6 mo, 12 mo, 15 mo, 18 mo, and 2 yrs. They get a lot of shots their first 2 years.

Yeah I figured it would be at 6 months, not 4. Whatever I guess, she has to get them sometime, the younger the better I suppose so she doesn't remember!
My LO was extremely irritable the day of her 2mo shots and the day after. She also ran a low fever. She was just fine for her 4mo shots. No irritability and no fever, although I did give her Tylenol just before the shots to hopefully prevent any fever.
I'm not looking forward to them at all. LO had a reaction to his 2 month shots. Screamed for a week and a half, swollen face, blotchy skin. I'm still reading The Vaccine Book so I can discuss spacing his 4 month shots out a little.
Got preservative free vaccines, only 2 pokes this time instead of 3...she screamed, woukdnt BF but settled after 5 minutes of cuddling and walking around. She was pretty straight faced and stoned looking a couple hours after, slept a lot, cranky, but was smiling again about 4-5 hours later:-) gave tylenol once.
DD had her 4 month appointment and shots yesterday (12/3). Her 2 month shots weren't too bad... not so much this time. I tried doing the same as with the 2 month shots and nursing DD right after she got poked. She was so sad/angry that she wanted nothing to do with my boobs, and when she did latch on, she got even more pissed that there was milk coming out. I cried more this time too I think. She spiked a fever at 2:30 in the morning last night. I chatted with the on-call nurse, gave her Tylenol, and we both went back to sleep. She was pretty crabby and sleepy today. I gave her 2 more doses of Tylenol, which seemed to help both times. The on-call nurse mentioned that reactions can get worse, so hooray for that good news.
We went Tuesday am. She actually didn't cry for the first shot. She just turned a little red and looked sad. But the second one she went crazy. The nurse said the second burns more.
Dr says to give Tylenol if she seemed a little more cranky or feverish so I did that day and Wednesday am. She wasn't much into standing as much Wednesday but seemed better yesterday.
We only did the Rotavirus yesterday and go back in 10 days for the shots. He did fine with the Rotavirus so I'm hoping the shots go better than last time.
We had ours today. DD was fine with rotavirus and the first shot. Cried for a little with the second shot. I nursed her after and she did a bunch of sleeping. She has been great today! Hope the shots go as smooth as possible for everyone.
Ours were yesterday. She's doing much better than the first go round, but she has a lot more fat on her Michelin legs than before lol. 15 lbs! (She was 7 10 oz at birth)
We went for 4 month shots yesterday. My poor baby. She screamed way more this time. Then she was fine for a couple of hours and started to get cranky in the evening. She's really sleepy today. She was up for her usual MOTN feeding, but then she slept until almost 10! She was up for maybe an hour-and-a-half (pretty cranky the whole time) and now she's sleeping again. Hope she feels better soon!
They gave her the dropper vaccine first thinking she'd suck it right down...nope she spit it put then gave the nurse the biggest pout like why would you do that!? They had to give her another dropper. Then fir her shots she screamed and kept screaming for 10 minutes, tthen she took a nap then screamed the rest of the night. Today her shot areas are red and she fussed than usual..
Emma had her appointment today and will officially be 4 months on the 22nd. She is still tiny at 10lbs 6oz, but is 24in long with a head circumference of 39.5. Basically she is following her curve, yay! We also found out she definitely is teething and the tooth should be out "soon". My boobs are scared. She did much better with the shots this time, cried for a few but some cuddling sorted that out. I did better too, I didn't cry! She napped all the way home and is still napping.
I fed him at our pedi right after shots. He left happy and content. Both times he has run a low grade fever though. His 2 month he topped at 102, this time 101.5. Not fun!
He had his two shots yesterday. Cried a little during and after but he was also tired. When we got home he was pretty relaxed all day and slept great at night. Today he has barely stopped screaming though. If it happens again tomorrow I will call the doctor.
Little D had hers this morning. So far so good. She weighed in at 14 lbs. 4 oz. Pediatrician gave me the go-ahead to start trying solid foods because she is so interested in our food and she has such good head control. Should be interesting
Re: Month 4 vaccines - how is your LO doing?
Didn't know they get shots again at 4 months. @-)
Now I'm not looking forward to our 4 month appointment next month (

The next day at daycare she slept all day only ate the 2 bottles normally 4. She was back to herself the next day.

She's really getting big! ;(
