NBR book deals on Amazon for kindle

Is anyone continously perusing the deals this month? What have you picked up?

I have $100 in gc to spend from my b-day Wahoo,

Red Rising by Pierce brown is $1.99. I have heard it is awesome and the next Hunger Games. We shall see.

Outlander is $2.99 and most of the rest of the series is $4.99.

  • And yes I am being a pw. It's slow around here and I don't want to clean my house :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

  • Is it an Amazon gift card? Have you considered the unlimited thing for kindle books? It's $9.99 a month.
  • I read angelas ashes...always a classic. It was on for 1.99 I think.
  • It was @Alygohome‌ but not anymore. I have it buuuut won't be reading it for a while. I am a crier as it is, then you add the hormones and it's worse! :P

@misshart00‌ yep I have 4 Amazon Kindle gift cards so I probably won't use them all for books but I love books so most definitely some will be used for that. The unlimited is just not worth it. The selection isn't that great and I read enough from the library (usually my primary book source) that the value isn't there.

I also like to see who others are reading.

I hardly ever buy a book for the normal price anymore.

WHAT?! how have I not heard of this. Must not be a Canadian thing..I spend (even only buying books on sale) at least $30 a month on books.

I tend to agree. I had it when I went on vacation, but it's kind of hit or miss with the selection. It's nice when there's a $30 book I want to read though.

I bet it's a matter of time, but it's still hit or miss. They only have 1 or 2 publishers on board. So there are a lot of books you might want not available.

  • I use Overdrive almost exclusively because I hate paying for books, so I'm not help on the Kindle deals. But if you're just starting yourself on Outlander, welcome and get ready for a hotttt Scottish Highlander to infiltrate your dreams.

  • I second @irishcurls -- Be sure to check with your local library.  The overdrive app is great if your library participates.  I have also done all of the Harry potters (again) with the app on my phone for the audiobooks.  And all free!

  • The library is my primary source for books, but when I get $100 in gc intended for books I plan on splurging a little. Combined with some awesome deals I was just curious if anyone else had picked up some good reads.
