JAN 16, 34 wks today. I didn't even look to.see what produce I am.

2. Age at delivery? 36

3 girls (14,12 and 7 ) and a dog. Got rid of hamster this week thank the Lord.

4. How are you feeling?
This week started out rough but yesterday was good. I think it was all because my sugars were too high thanks to my GD diet vaca. But now that I am back on it I felt better.

5. Any upcoming appointments, milestones, rants or raves?
Not supposed to go back until the 18th. Then I will be weekly.

QOTW: What's the most enjoyable or interesting road trip you've been on?
I think maybe our trip to Gulf Shores a couple weeks ago. The trip down there was fun. The trip back not so much. I think bc we kept getting turned around and we're just ready to be home.

4. Constipation sucks and I'm always a little uncomfortable, but those are my biggest problems so it's really not bad! This pregnancy has been so much easier than with DD and I'm really counting my blessings.

5. Had an unplanned visit yesterday for some bleeding that turned out to be just a sensitive cervix. Phew! Had the quad screen while I was there and canceled my regular appointment that was going to be today. Seeing LO on u/s is always awesome.

QOTW: I was tortured with road trips as a kid and actually hate them now. But, I did have one my first semester of college that was fun (and short -just a couple hours of driving). We went to Truth or Consequences, NM and stayed at a place with rustic hot spring baths outside that overlooked the Rio Grande. We also went on an awesome horseback ride in the desert and the town itself was an old, charming western town (authentic, not touristy). Part of the reason it was so fun was because I had only been away from my parents a couple months and just that was still exciting.

OK - feeling more large by the day... made this comment to DH the other day - usually when I am feeling large and I say so, he will say something sweet like this is normal, that my getting bigger means the baby is happy/healthy, etc. This time he came over, looked and me, patted my belly and gave me a hug - LOL... I guess he agrees that I really am getting quite large - ha!

5. Any upcoming appointments, milestones, rants or raves?
Just had my 32 week appt - went well. Nursery furniture arrived this week - yay! Rant - still waiting on rug pad and also on replacement pieces for our toy storage (Land of Nod shipped the wrong color in one, and forgot the back on the other - ugh). But we have time and they should arrive next week so soon the nursery will be all set. Then all we need is the carseat (SIL is getting for us since we got them their carseat, and our new washer/dryer - ours are on their last leg and sometimes leave rust stains so I don't want to wash the baby clothes/blankets in there... new ones arrive at end of month)

QOTW: What's the most enjoyable or interesting road trip you've been on?

Hmm - we typically fly to our destinations but several years back we drove from Florence to Montepulciano. I had gotten the scenic route from a colleague - but of course it wasn't super clear. Our rental car got screwed up and the only automatic they had with GPS was a minivan.... so we were driving that through the Tuscan countryside trying to follow directions (this was back in 2007 or 2008 so needless to say the GPS signals were not as strong/clear outside the cities and our phones didn't really have the best technology yet (at least not without paying a fortune in roaming fees!) It was a beautiful drive, but comical to say the least

Lemon. Due June 3rd. 14 wks 2 days today.

37 at delivery.

6 yr old son. 2 yr old daughter. Black lab who is 10.

Feeling ok. Still pretty tired but I think that has more to do with having two little ones at home and not sleeping well at night.

I just saw the doctor on Monday and all is good. I didn't get an u/s which bummed me out but I did get to listen to the baby's HB for the first time which is always exciting. I start with my new OB that's close to home on 12/23 and start my makena injections on 12/29. I'm hoping they u/s on 12/23 because I just want to see this little bean again!! And I'll be 17 weeks at that point so maybe.. just maybe.. they can tell me the sex before my big ultrasound!

Hmm.. that's a tough question. I haven't been on all that many road trips. I'm a flyer. I guess I could say the most 'interesting' would be traveling to N.Carolina for my sister in law's wedding in October of 2012 when I was 35 weeks pregnant with my daughter!!!! Thought I would die! Not only were there countless stops to use the restroom but try being comfortable on the third row seat of a mini van! No way. lol It sucked.

2nd Tri - better!

3rd appt. is this afternoon - day can't go fast enough! Had an ultrasound last time, hoping to hear a strong heartbeat today.

Have collected a good stash of maternity clothes and bought my first baby item - a carseat - on cyber Monday.

QOTW: What's the most enjoyable or interesting road trip you've been on?

LOVE road trips! Starting in college when I made a few Oregon-Arizona drives for summer break. Once with a guy I had just met! My conservative parents must have had such a hard time with that.

DH and I have spent two summers on the road - camping, climbing, mountain biking. Highlights were probably the weeks in Yosemite Nat'l park and the month we spent in Canada - driving from the Rockies to the western coast.

Last year we drove around Costa Rica for a week, that was awesome too.

4. How are you feeling?

I've had a minor bug this past week. H has it too, but he's able to power through. I just want to sleep all the time. I'm also craving chicken liver? H hates it, so I don't cook it. I only eat it once every few years. I know it has too much vitamin A and can be dangerous to the fetus - so I'm not going to try. I have been eating small amounts of bone marrow though, which also has a bunch of vitamin A.

5. Any upcoming appointments, milestones, rants or raves?

Not a lot going on. GD results haven't been posted. Waiting on call back from nurse.

Rant: I have to go emergency bra shopping again. It kind of snuck up on me.

QOTW: What's the most enjoyable or interesting road trip you've been on?

H and I didn't go on a honeymoon and most of our vacations are spent with other family. One of the few trips we did for ourselves was last year where we went on a road trip to Fort Davis in West Texas from Houston. We were only there a couple of days but it was a lot of fun with hiking and stargazing.

You may have tried this already @Lady2010 or your problems could be bigger, but I've had success running a couple of cups of white vinegar in the washer to get rid of minor rust problems.

Days without vomiting = 6 1
I'm seeing a friend tomorrow who teaches pilates. It is the first of what I hope will be weekly sessions where we work on stretching and strengthening to minimize all of the hip and back aches and pains which come with pregnancy

5. Any upcoming appointments, milestones, rants or raves?
Rant = family drama which hit at Thanksgiving and hasn't let up. I won't go into details for the sake of their privacy. But it's bad....
QOTW: What's the most enjoyable or interesting road trip you've been on?
I LOVE road trips. The most interesting was probably a family trip where we drove across the country and back when I was 10. We had tons of fun road trips in college where we'd load up the car with food from Sam's club and not get out (except for gas and bathroom stops) until we got to our destination. DH and I once drove from Boston all the way up the coast, a few hours into, Maine without any destination or plans in mind. We had time to get lost on back roads in little small towns all along the way.

@NeonNoon - thanks for the tip on the white vinegar... however since all the knobs are missing from our dryer - except 1 (which we keep in the linen closet and use to set and turn on the machine) and it turns out they are 20+ years old (when we bought this place a few years ago they left them - and when I called the manufacturer to check if they were gas or electric when we started researching new ones I learned they stopped making this one 20+ years ago...) So clearly it was time for us to buy a new washer/dryer!

I may try the vinegar trick so we don't ruin any clothes - so far it has just been DH's undershirts and gym clothes which I am not picky about - but we do have nice sheets/towels that I don't want to ruin. Since the new ones are coming soon I am holding off on washing the baby's stuff just in case.

A 5-year-old daughter who will be a whopping 6 when her baby sibling comes!

4. How are you feeling?

OK. Better than two weeks ago, but sick as a dog if I eat my fill. Also, more fatigued than the first pregnancy six years ago. Much more fatigued.

5. Any upcoming appointments, milestones, rants or raves?

Waiting for my NIPT results. Gak!!! Nervous as hell... Also, my husband and I celebrate 14 years Dec. 22.

QOTW: What's the most enjoyable or interesting road trip you've been on?

It's kind of a road trip: We flew to Boston and then caught the train to Philadelphia and then to DC. It was so I could geek out about the Founding Fathers.

Called family Dr today to say I'm going on 10 wks of coughing. Have to go see pulmatorologist if I want. No just give me better meds lol. I can't take this anymore.

5. Had my 1 hr yesterday. Waiting for results. I did get a call saying I need iron supplements.

QOTW: Drinking wise it was back in college when a group of us went to Notre Dame to see Pitt play. Ended up in the neighboring state at a bar. Best time!!

Non drinking..haha..was when I stayed in San Diego for a summer with a family and we took a trip up the California coast to Oregon. Beautiful.

Super stuffed up but runny nose, pressure down low some days, but really not too bad. I noticed I'm not sleeping as well, guess it gets harder to get comfy. Still a bit tired/fatigued - run out of energy quickly and I'm starving at meal times but then fill up so fast! Baby moves a lot now, very exciting!!

5. Any upcoming appointments, milestones, rants or raves?
Feel like it's been so long! My last OB appt was quick... and I've only gained 7lbs, so I thrilled about that, OB would like me to keep it at 10 or less if possible, we shall see. My next OB appt is my GD test ----not looking forward to that---- in 2 weeks.

QOTW: What's the most enjoyable or interesting road trip you've been on?

During one of our yearly Vegas trips (we've gone the past 7 years, but won't be back anytime soon), we took a side road trip to Page, AZ and got to see the Horseshoe Bend and Slot Canyons, very, very cool! Being from FL originally and now NC (lots of green), I am still amazed by the desert (red rock) and all the colors out there.

1. Due date? How many weeks are you? What size is baby? 32 weeks, "squash" (really? she was an acorn squash like 2 weeks ago and will be a butternut in 2 more weeks, so wth is a "squash"?)

4. How are you feeling? Sleeping sucks, and I have this annoying recurring jabbing pain in my back but all things considered, not too bad.

5. Any upcoming appointments, milestones, rants or raves? Midwife appt next week, and looking forward to no more work travel after another 2 weeks or so. Rant: Ugh, I was going to have so much more done by now. Nursery is still stalled as I'm waiting to relocate my SIL to the basement area we've been renovating. Hopefully that can happen in about another week and I can make some progress.

QOTW: What's the most enjoyable or interesting road trip you've been on?
About 4 years ago, before we were married, DH and I did the Road to Hana on Maui. It was aMAZing. The road itself was pretty harrowing, but it was an adventure and we found all these gorgeous waterfalls and pools that you have to hike a bit to get to, so were very secluded, since most people just stop for views right along the road. We camped on the beach in Haleakala NP, ate fresh-caught tuna cooked on a camp stove, hiked the Seven Sacred Pools...magical. It wasn't a very long road trip, esp in distance, but we experienced a ton and it's one of our best memories so far.

@hikerlady I love the sling idea! Does that exist? I can definitely see wanting some kind of support - not fair to count on the abs to hold all that in...

3. Any other children? Furbabies? Nope, first one. Poor thing.

4. How are you feeling? I can now stay up past 9pm (but not past 10pm). Constipation is very annoying, but otherwise I'm feeling well! Trying to move more and cut out muffins as I'm near the top of the upper recommended range for weight gain at 17 weeks - oops.

5. Any upcoming appointments, milestones, rants or raves?

I'm waiting to schedule the anatomical scan for three weeks from now; and have to go in on Monday to get the quad screen.

I do have a question this time! Does anyone know if the quad screen still makes sense if I'm so close to the anatomical scan? I.e. wouldn't they just send me to the anatomical scan if they found a high chance of spin bifida on the quad?

QOTW: What's the most enjoyable or interesting road trip you've been on?

This is too hard - too many incredible places in the world! Driving around the Boka Bay in Montenegro has always had a special place in my heart, and the mountains hurling into the sea are quite the sight, so I'll go with that:

@marijaa--no reason not to do the Quad Screen. The quad info PLUS the scan gives you a better picture of risk for any abnormalities.

3. Any other children? Furbabies? DD1 almost 6, DS almost 4, DD2 almost 2.

4. How are you feeling? Sore, uncomfortable, very big, very tired. I am measuring 39 weeks. Did a bunch of shopping on Friday and I was SOOOO sore and tired after that. Have to pace myself.

5. Any upcoming appointments, milestones, rants or raves?

I start going twice a week for non-stress tests plus appointments, starting Thursday. Whoa. Can't believe we're getting so close that I could schedule all the rest of my OB appts until scheduled delivery!

QOTW: What's the most enjoyable or interesting road trip you've been on?

Family vacation "out west" when I was in high school was really great. My overall favorite, but this wasn't really a "road trip," is when DH and I went to Hawaii on our honeymoon. We did a lot of day trips in our rental car and the feeling of total carefree freedom is something I may NEVER have again now that we have kids. We had a wonderful time just exploring beaches and watching for whales, stopping whenever we wanted.

4. How are you feeling?constant contractions still but relief from painful ones for a day! Whew! Might have baby soon seems surreal plus my nesting thinks there is a ton to be done still:(
5. Any upcoming appointments, milestones, rants or raves? See Dr Thursday gonna see how I'm doing and take cerclage out at 35 weeks. He thinks I will "rock n " roll when he does. I hope so the contractions are exhausting. I think DS knows something is up he only wants his mama.:( and ask me "are you alright?" Breaks my heart:( < br > QOTW: What's the most enjoyable or interesting road trip you've been on? road trip to Macedonia with my DH:) the bus dropped us off at wrong stop and we had to walk 2-3 miles back to Albania! Lol we walked across the border. The border patrol laughed when H told them what happened.

Favorite memory with the Hubs! Also we stayed a week driving to different parts of Albania for our honey moon! Gorgeous ! I miss it.

@Samuelismomma I didn't realize our kids were so close in age. DD will be 3 toward the end of March.

4. How are you feeling? Pretty good. Bloat is worse this time around. I'm hoping afternoon nausea starts after next week. I think my mind will be at ease a bit more. I know I had it with DD but it was after 6 weeks. With our loss, the baby stopped growing at 6 weeks so I think that might be why I never got it with the last pregnancy.

5. Any upcoming appointments, milestones, rants or raves? First appt is Dec 29. 23 more days to go.

QOTW: What's the most enjoyable or interesting road trip you've been on? One of the more low key ones was in college. After an all night study session, we drove 2 hrs to a restaurant for breakfast. We had the same breakfast place in town, so the novelty of doing something crazy like that has always stayed with me.

I'm new to the boards, and happy to finally be able to reply!

July 11, 9 and 1/2 weeks, little olive

I'm 42 now. Will be 43 at delivery.

3. Any other children? Furbabies?
No other children. I have three kitties ... Sable, Bailey and Maximus

4. How are you feeling?

Tired. And nervous. My BF and I have been together for a number of years. (We actually were talking about getting married on July 4th. Not happening now, lol!) I am the oldest of three children. My parents, who are awesome, have no grandkids. None of their children ever married either. My sister is single and wants no children and my brother lost his longtime GF suddenly in January, and he has no interest in starting up a relationship again anytime soon. So, I think this might be the last chance at a grandbaby. I haven't told them yet though. Am waiting til I'm three months, which just happens to fall right around Christmas. In the meantime, I am trying not to get too excited because I know things can still go wrong; but, I'm starting to lose that battle. Every day I wake up, I get a little more thrilled. I pray that this is meant to be.

5. Any upcoming appointments, milestones, rants or raves?

Got an appointment a week from today. Am thrilled that I only had sickness twice.
