Switching sippy cups?

my daughter uses soft spout sippy cups and I'm trying to switch her to the hard ones, she won't drink from the hard ones. She won't take a bottle(thank goodness), but I want to switch her, does anyone have any advice?

  • I try she just gets mad and throws it.
  • Yeah I have tried and LO gets frustrated.
  • It's hard I'm gonna keep trying!
  • J doesn't get sippy cups either. The only one he kind of likes are the Tommee Tippee ones with the hard spout but only if I remove the nonspill valve part. That way he doesn't have to suck, just tip it up to drink.

  • My LO won't take a sippy or straw cup at all.
He plays, puts it to his mouth, but won't suck he just bites.
If I take the valve out he just watches the water pour out. Lol.
  • I find transitioning to sippy cups a pita.  It takes a good long while, or has in my experience, like several months of offering different types, different fluids, when they are happy not hungry, and many many spills later... ugh

I appreciate the reassurance. I was wondering what's taking so long. After the holidays his daycare is going to start giving him a midafternoon snack and sippy cup drink. Hopefully that will help.
