FTM and I have no clue.

I'm 31 weeks and having somewhat painful(2-3 on a scale to 10) cramps in my upper abdomin that radiate to the bottom. I'm a FTM have no clue what this is. They almost feel constant but not quite. Right when I think one may be dying down it starts again and I wonder if it ever really did so I haven't really been able to count. Maybe braxton hicks? Hopefully. She has always been very low but last night she dropped even deeper into my pelvic region. TIA
I would definitely call my doctor but there's no on call number and she is gone for the week. I feel kind of silly asking y'all this because I know these questions will flood the board in a few weeks :/ sorry.

My doctors office instructions, if it is after hours, is to just go in to L&D to get checked out. If there was an on call doctor that is exactly what they would tell a patient if they were beyond 20 weeks. They also suggest calling L&D to ask if you want but they will tell you to come in too to be safe. So I would drink a ton of water and if it didn't go away I would just go in to be monitored to see if they are contractions.

  • This is not a response for the question you have currently asked but -

Have you read any books? Maybe picking up What to Expect When Expecting might be a good thing for you.

Also, have you taken any classes at your medical center?

  • How do people not have an after hours/ on call phone number for their OB.  I am sorry, but I am not buying it. And your OB just up and leaves for a week without you having a way to get in touch with someone again not buying what you're selling.  This thread just seems like attention seeking behavior, seriously do you expect us to believe that if you go into labor and it's not M-F 9-5 you have nobody to call.  I am sorry but if thats the truth than it is pretty stupid to stay with a Dr. that you can't even get in touch with in case of an emergency.  Also if what it is true that your OB doesn't have some sort of a call service I suggest you get the number to your L&D instead of asking a bunch of online strangers in the middle of the night.

I live in a very, very small town for those wondering about on call OB. She's the only one in the office. I found the labor and delivery number and they asked me to come in. I was having light contractions. They monitored me and they ended up stopping on their own. The ones who guessed dehydration were right, I drink like crazy but I guess I need to amp it up a bit. I'm an 18 year old FTM and the father is out working 3 hours away.
Thank y'all for the L&D suggestion. Idk why I didn't think of that last night!

Are you always a negative Nancy? I live in a very, very small town. She's the only one in her office besides one, sometimes two, nurses. I hate their phones because most is automotive. Don't ask me why, I don't know. I'm more mature than to make a post on here to seek attention. Thanks for your bullshit cattyness though.

Calm your tits OP. @chickyclg‌ was not being catty.
:) you're right. It came off catty to me but hell, I've been awake for about 24 hours now. Everything is coming off catty. My tits are calm now, shouldn't have responded like that.
