How is your supply doing? Going up, down, or pretty well established?

How much are you getting per session?

How big is your freezer stash?

What are you doing around the holidays at parties and gatherings?

Any tips, tricks, or fun facts to share?

How is your supply doing? Going up, down, or pretty well established? I'd say pretty well established. Its around the same every day now, give or take a few ounces total.

How much are you getting per session?
Between 8-10 ounces per session, except the first morning session after DD STTN. Usually that one yields about 14-16 ounces from my angry engorged boulder boobs.

How big is your freezer stash?
I did the math today based on how many freezer bags I've gone through. I have approximately 1,150 ounces frozen, assuming on average 8oz per bag. Most have between 8-13 ounces so I shot low as used 8oz average for my approximate calculations

What are you doing around the holidays at parties and gatherings?
I hate being an EPer right now. On Sunday I had two Christmases to attend and I had to excuse myself to pump at both places. Such an inconvenience. :(

Any tips, tricks, or fun facts to share?
Just the normal pump parts in the fridge and wash once a day. I recently changed up my fresh/frozen routine. I was just bottling everything and putting it in the fridge, then once the bottles were overtaking the top shelf I froze 40-60oz of the older milk. But now, to save on bottles, I freeze 2 of my 4 pumps daily. It makes so much more sense. :)

  • How is your supply doing? Going up, down, or pretty well established?
It seems to be pretty well established but may be decreasing a bit since I've had 2 clogged ducts in the past 2 weeks.

How much are you getting per session?
My morning session I'm getting 18-20 ounces. The other 3 pumping sessions I average about 12 ounces.

How big is your freezer stash?
Huge! I have my whole deep freezer in the garage full of 6 ounce bags. I'm not sure how many ounces I have stored up, but I feel like I have enough to feed the whole BMB's babies for months. I'm not sure what I'm going to do with all of it.

Any tips, tricks, or fun facts to share?
No tips or tricks but my dog decided to eat my pump this week. That was fun manually expressing myself until I could make an emergency run to the store to get new parts!

  • Wow! You guys are my heroes. I pump 7x a day but usually only get 5 or 6 ounces each time. I'm so jealous of your outputs! I'm getting 35 to 40 ounces a day, which is what Ive had for the past few months but I feel like the stress of going back to work is affecting that. My twins are eating almost 30 ounces each, so I'm not really keeping up and having to supplement with formula. Oh well. I have some frozen but no idea how much.

Have you tried dropping sessions? Thats what I did and it didn't affect my supply. I basically pump about 1oz/hour. So instead if 8 sessions totaling 40oz, I stretched them out and end up pumping more per session. So 5oz per boob every 5 hours. You could try! See what happens. :)

This for me as well. Dropping my sessions hasn't dropped my output at all.

A travel bottle warmer or a cup of hot water. Tommee Tippee has a nice one for on the go.

Also, according to everything I've read and my pumping manual, freshly expressed breastmilk is good at room temperature for 4-6 hours so if I just pumped and am going to be running around I just take that. If I need to heat some milk up out and about I usually just run it under hot water until it's the right temperature.

Thanks ladies. I want thinking of just using freshly expressed milk but wasn't sure if that worked for other moms.

  • How is your supply doing? Going up, down, or pretty well established?
Supply is going good, going up slightly I think, but established for the most part

How much are you getting per session?
I get anywhere from 4oz-10oz it varies.  My pump sessions before bed are always smaller and biggest in the morning. Had my first 10 oz pump in one session the other day, that was exciting.
How big is your freezer stash?
Large! I have to count.... I froze 20oz yesterday alone. I think I average somewhere around 10oz a day depending on how hungry DD is.
What are you doing around the holidays at parties and gatherings?
Trying to fit in my pump sessions before parties etc.  Thankfully this year both of our large holiday parties are somewhere I can escape comfortably.  One is at our home on Saturday so I will just pump before and excuse myself once during. The other is at my ILs so I am comfortable pumping there.
Any tips, tricks, or fun facts to share?
Loving my hands free bra for sure right now,  Its an extra step but love having free hands.  I think I am going to have to try putting my pump parts in the fridge like others are doing and wash once a day.  I HATE washing these parts every-time I pump, it gets annoying, especially in the MOTN. Don't have much, I still feel like a newbie to pumping.
