Hi N14 Ladies!
I imagine I'm not the only one who took a bit of a hiatus after the baby arrived, but I've missed all you peeshes a lot and would love to hear how everyone's doing and what I've missed.
To update you on Cakeleigh Le'Mona (aka Anna), here's a quick update on what my last 5 weeks has looked like:
- Induced on November 5th (was due on 11/21) - blood pressure scariness was too much and OB induced for mine and LO's safety
- Anna Artice was born 11/6 vaginally - her cord was wrapped around her neck twice so I'm very grateful everything was ok - middle name for my beloved grandmother
- Anna developed jaundice and it got progressively worse - they took her away from me on the 2nd day to put her under the lights
- We went home but after a day at home the jaundice was worse and Anna stopped eating - we were sent to the Pediatric ICU
- In the hospital, more lights and IV to treat dehydration - doctor was a total dick and told me I shouldn't be upset because at least my daughter didn't have cancer - it was a scary and horrible experience - we were there for 3 days
- While the hospital, I was feeding her every 2 hours with each feeding taking an hour and a half
- We were sent home but had to re-teach Anna how to breastfeed and was supplementing with pumped breast milk and formula - it was frustrating and exhausting
- Anna surpassed her birth weight a few days after being released from the hospital and we were given permission to feed when she wanted it
After a very bumpy start, Anna is now thriving and doing great. Such a relief - this lack of sleep stuff seems like a piece of cake in comparison! Here she is with my pomeranian Elle (who is still adjusting and is very jealous)

Tell me how you ladies are and I will attempt to catch up so I can jump back in! xo
Re: Back after baby hiatus - tell me how you peeshes are!
Cakeleigh is ridiculously adorable, and I'm very, very glad Elle hasn't given anyone mono.
Lol! I've put Avery into socks. Stupid winter. They are cute on her though :x
