Telling family when so young

As I have mentioned in my intro my boyfriend and I are only 20 years old (will be 21 when baby is born). Anyways I have been so nervous to tell my extended family (immediate family will be very supportive). They are very religious people and do not believe anyone should have children before they are married. This baby was an accident, but at this point we could not be anymore thrilled.
I can already picture some of them pushing marriage on me which I don't know if I want to do at this point and I will most definitely be the talk of the family.
I was just wondering if anyone has experienced anything similar and how you would handle it? Should I do a big fun announcement or should I just have my parents tell them. I don't know what to do.

    I have a very religious family, too, so I understand where you are coming from. Do what you feel comfortable with. If you'd rather the parents tell the extended family, let them. That will let the family's opinions "settle down" before they see you again.

    But if you do want to make a big deal of it, you deserve to! Just beware that it may not turn out the way you think. But usually if it's a big exciting deal and your parents are excited and so forth, people will keep their mouths shut.

    It's unfortunate what the expected response will be. I agree that you should not under any circumstance get married just because of the baby. If your parents are happy to tell the family and able to be the buffer for a bit, I'd let them. If it's likely you're going to see the family with such strong opinions, turn a deaf ear, you can't always avoid unpleasant situations.
