DH and I decided to skip buying each other presents this year and put that money we would have spent towards a trip to Puerto Rico in early summer without DD.
However, I did buy myself a sweater and a scarf - Black Friday deals, yo!
M14 January Siggy Challenge: Resolution I have no intention of keeping...SHOPPING LESS!
I got my hair cut and colored. DH is giving me a night off. He's taking DS for an overnight to the ILs and I'll have a day and night all to myself to enjoy a quiet house and no monitor. Best. Gift. Ever.
I got my new vacuum cleaner and DH got a new gun. Haha, it's 1950 in my house, apparently. I also bought myself a really pair of Michael Kors boots on a BF sale from Macy's.
We decided to just do stocking stuffers and a small gag gift for eachother to open on Christmas.

My DH can't keep a secret for the life of him, so I know I'm getting a lens for my camera.
Every year he ruins Christmas by telling me what I got (I LOVE surprises) or he goes out and buys himself the exact gift I bought him.... EVERY DAMN YEAR!!!!!

LunaBug924 I also bought myself a vacuum. What's worse is I bought it on HSN.com (it had the lowest price!)
I got a cordless electric broom - we are 100% hardwood, no carpet or rugs (thanks, dog) so I don't really need a regular vacuum. I've been using it every day since I got it.
I bought myself a Michael Kors jacket on sale and DH gets me a pair of nice slippers every year (my request) and I asked for an oversized scarf from American Eagle. We don't go crazy on gifts.
Eta: when shopping online we'll add items for ourselves if we're close to a free shipping total
Maybe it's because DD just had bueberries and yogurt for lunch (and insisted on feeding herself), but When I read "bought a rug for the dining room", all I could think was whoa, living dangerously there!
Also: I totally do that with online shopping. Because I can deduct the price of shipping from that item for myself, right?
My husband bought me some flannel sheets and a really cute cell phone case with pictures of our LO and of us. I got myself a haircut and highlights We also finally got a new car since both of our cars are starting to go and he said its my new car since it's bigger and safer and I have her. So that's exciting!
I believe MH has bought me either a new work bag or a new wallet.
Me too!! Bought myself a new purse. I justified it by 1) it was on sale and 2) I needed a shoulder/messenger type bag for ease of carrying it with LO. I also got a new phone. Soo I have 0 presents under the tree because I got them all already. :-/
We haven't done gifts in years, usually just stockings. It's so not festive but if we need something, we buy it, we don't wait around until a birthday or Christmas so the other person can buy it for us.
I have a new purse and boots picked out. I also want Printshop and a printer so I can edit and print photos I take of DD. If anyone has better suggestions than printshop let me know! DH is awful to buy for. He's the kind of guy that just goes out and gets what he wants on his own. He returns 75% of the things I get him
My MIL got us a treadmill! I'm so excited about this. I never have time to go to the gym any more, but it's easy enough to pop down to the basement for a quick run when (if) DS goes down for a nap.
@Hbird05 - I want flannel sheets! My MIL had them when we visited and they were so warm.
DH and I bought a new artificial Christmas tree this year (and ditched our pre 1990 one!), so that was our gift to each other. We're doing stocking stuffers. That's all!
We're trying to save up, so I asked DH to get some of my jewelry fixed (pearls restrung, clasps fixed). Stuff I would be doing anyway but have been putting off. Thrifty, but it still feels indulgent.
@kc83 haha I told DH I needed those too- his eyes lite up and said alright- Victoria's Secret here I come- but I know he'll never go in there without me!
I asked DH to get me a nice warm coat, and I'm pretty sure he did. He came up with the idea of a remote starter for my car - can't wait for that. Otherwise not sure. I bought him dress pants and a dress shirt...

@usernameedit I asked for the same thing as a "push" present. That didn't happen. Emerald is beautiful, but quite expensive. I hope you get it! I'm going to hint for one for mother's day.
I've been dropping a lot of hints about emeralds too. Why did we have to have babies with one of the priciest stones!?! The lab created ones are less but I just feel like growing a gem in a lab isn't the same. I want mine with flaws and imperfections and character (and unfortunately a price tag)
OMG I am so excited... I bought a pair of tickets for my mom and I to go see Fleetwood Mac in concert in March. Best Xmas Present EVER. Mom is super excited, I justified splurging on the tickets for her, but really, they were a gift from me... to me. Win win situation. LOL

There are only two lasting bequests we can hope to give our children.

@athn64 & @spinsoffresonance, the largest size they have is 6/12M so if DH doesn't get it for me, I'm buying it for DS/myself.
Do it! My thesis baby is 2 years old, le sigh!
I told DH I wanted wool socks or nursing pajamas. He said those are girly things that I should just order myself and put on his credit card. The whole reason I asked for these things is because I find them way too expensive for what they are and can never bring myself to actually buy them. So I don't think I'm getting anything. I've spend dozens of hours researching DH's gift but I still haven't found it so he may no get anything either!

Send him links of some you like. That's my strategy when DH is clueless about the items I'd want and tries to get me to buy them for myself for him to give me.

I'm not sure what he bought me- I only know it came from Kay Jewelers since he brought the bag into my moms house to show everyone but me.
