"Everybody here has got a story to tell. Everybody's been through their own hell. There's nothing too special about getting hurt, but getting over it that takes the work. Because one way or another, we all need each other. Nothing's going to turn out the way you thought it would. Friends and lovers, don't you duck and cover because everything comes out the way it should in the end." -Glen Phillips, "Duck and Cover"

The title was a joke...I was hoping it was an early sign, but it wasn't.
Have you read the sticky post at the top of the page and done an intro here? Just a few words of advice going forward:
1. We don't really play the symptom-spotting game here. In the Crazy Train thread perhaps yes, but not in random board posts. If all of us posted every day about every little twinge, illness, or 'could I be pregnant' feeling we had, the board would be full of that and nothing else. It's just not something we do in open board posts here.
2. Pregnancy or possible pregnancy isn't really a joking matter, it's actually more of a sensitive one around these parts - I'd probably avoid joking about it in the future. I at least didn't find the title of your post to be at all funny, more scratch-my-head worthy and vaguely offensive.
3. This board is a give support to get support place. Make sure to lurk, post words of support to others, and get to know others as well as let them get to know you, then perhaps the odd 'joke' would go over better

This post is a bit confusing, but I do not think OP is doing a drive by. Sounds like she was symptom spotting which turned out to be just the flu.
OP --The title throws people off and forces us to come into this post with our guard up. I would definitely have gone with a different title, but I hope you feel better and GL with next cycle.

The title was a joke...I was hoping it was an early sign, but it wasn't.
I don't find the title of the post funny. It screams "I want you ladies to tell me I'm KU and don't have the flu" or "I want you ladies to tell me I'm KU and have the flu".
ETA: Apparently you only like to create threads and then respond to yourself. This is really a give and take community so you may want to start showing a little support so other ladies can get to know you.
I'm sorry you all took this the wrong way. I was discouraged and thought this was the right area to get support. I was clearly wrong. Did not mean to make anyone upset.
So why not post about being discouraged? Why make reference to the fact you "might" be pregnant or making the cliche do I have the flu or am I KU comparison?
Had you come out and said I'm so discouraged, I need hugs, I'm not feeling well then I'm sure plenty of ladies would have offered their support. But, the second you made that comparison, which, you need to realize happens often in these parts by ladies who don't read that awesome thread pinned to the top - the ladies here get protective.
I, too, am sorry that you have the flu. However, correlating that to a post about the possibility of being pregnant is not going to fly here. Especially from a stranger. I see that you've already intro'd, but you might want to lurk a bit and read the blog to get a feel for the board.

Neither having the flu, or being pregnant is funny. Especially together. For some women, it can cause miscarriage.
It looks like you have intro'ed, but I would recommend getting more familiar with the board before throwing around the P word.
Speaking for myself my DH just told me today he doesn't know when he'll "ever be ready to get pregnant again". Seeing that in this community hurt me......considering it was a joke and not a BFP from an established member.......did you think you were Pg?
I step outside for a few minutes to build a shelf and look at what happens!
Since no one else covered it - DDing is frowned upon. OP you were quoted. I know what you wrote and so does everyone else that comes into this post - which they will because it is obviously a DD by the two "XX" in the title.
To any "newbies" who are reading this and feel "afraid" to start a post - use common sense. Have you seen symptom spotting posts on this board in the past month or so that you have been hiding in your check-ins? No. Have you seen vents about what to do in your 2WW or waiting to O as a stand alone post? No. Again, use some common sense and don't post b.s.
What is going on around here!? Dd this and your intro? :-? Is it so hard to lurk and learn the board. OP Like others have said if you'd said "I'm struggling and I have the flu" I would have offered support. This...just..... :-w
PgAL welcome

Seriously?! OP, we do not DD here. If you do that, then it's a great way to for real get the evil eye!! Bless your sweet little heart and I hope you feel better soon. The flu or pregnancy or whatever it is you have sounds serious. Best get some rest. While you are resting, lurk some.
READ THE BLOG!! It will be great reading while you are getting over the pregnancy/flu bug or whatever it is you contracted.

are you asking if you still might be pregnant?
