Nightlights!

So we know it will happen any day when J will attempt to climb out of his crib and we'll have to convert it to a toddler bed. I really want to get a nightlight when that happens so he's not knocking around his room in the middle of the night. I'd at least like him to see where he is going.

Any recommendations on a good nightlight? I'd rather have on that is more like a lamp, that plugs into an outlet but I keep it on his dresser. Obviously we don't want it too bright.

As I type this I wonder if it is best to just keep his room dark, then he won't get out of bed?!? So, experienced Mommas....what's your take?

Re: Nightlights!

  • We get enough light from a street light outside. But, I was given the nightlight below at my shower and love it because he can turn it on and carry it around.

  • All good ideas ladies!

I just read an interesting article that claims we get better sleep in a dark environment and that studies actually prove it's best to try and get your child to sleep without a night light. So I think I'll get a nightlight just incase but I'll try and get him to do without.

but to try and get her to stay in her room/bed we got her this minnie mouse night light- she's holding an umbrella and it projects stars....it turns off after maybe half an hour though? dh wants to get her a one that plugs in though...
