Hitting the wall...

I am about to be 35 weeks and after a day of lugging laundry up and down the stairs and folding it all, taking the kids to and from preschool for a couple hours this morning, grocery shopping, and making dinner/cleaning up after I think I have hit the pregnancy wall. All tuckered out, headache and back ache and I feel like my energy will be shot till I deliver in January. Anyone else hit the wall?

  • Me, me, me! I am just done. So freaking done. I'm having a RCS on 12/31 so at least I know the end is near, but it feels sooo far away.

  • @ljordan722‌ You poor thing! I feel ya, fell asleep during my 3 hour glucose test last month after the sugar rush wore off!

@moonfaerie‌ Mine is scheduled for January 14th. A little less than a month. I am going to be a disaster for the holidays.

    .

I did the same thing after my 3hr! It worried me, so I did a little research and the drowsiness is a side effect of the glucose/high blood sugar. I was thinking I had failed it for sure!
  • This was me on Saturday! I fell asleep at 6pm because I just couldn't anymore. I feel almost like I did during the 1st trimester when I was just so exhausted all the time.

  • After feeling pretty great, I think I'm there now. Yesterday leached all the energy that I had, and now I just want to lay around for the next 3 weeks.

I DID manage to force myself to make meatloaf and homemade marinara sauce for the freezer. Trying to slowly build up a food supply. So far, it's not going great. Lol

  • Stairs = instant cramps in my butt.

I am so tired, I almost fell asleep in my bath tonight.
  • So glad I'm not alone, ladies!
  • Me! Some days I do hardly anything, like dishes & a couple loads of laundry & then I've got to take a nap.
  • I've hit the wall hard this week. I'll be 35 weeks on Friday. Everything hurts, I'm super tired and winded and really emotional. I don't remember this until the very end last time but I also wasn't chasing a toddler then lol

  • I'm at the wall too! Up until last week I'd been really uncomfortable in the evenings and things would kind of "re-set" at night and I'd start the day off feeling ok. There is no more re-set, just constant pressure and vag pain and I feel like I'm going to explode. 5 more weeks until my RCS and it makes me want to cry when I think about feeling like this for 5 more weeks...

  • My bosses and I went to a work thing this afternoon that was 45 minutes away and I almost fell asleep in the backseat. I'm also only averaging about one home cooked meal per week because I just want to do nothing at the end of the day. So. Freaking. Tired.
  • My energy has definitely been dropping. I had a pretty busy day of errands, visiting friends, and a really long walk so I thought I'd take it easy and make/roll some peanut butter balls. My arms were dying after half an hour... Usually I make a triple batch this time of year but it took all my energy to roll out one batch (150). I keep forgetting that I don't have the same stamina I used to :(
  • This whole pregnancy I've been hitting the wall. Zero energy at all, I will be very happy when this is all over on Wednesday or Thursday! I'm hoping my energy will come back in a few weeks like it did after I had my first. If not, its off to the Dr to see what is up.

  • Ugh, I hear you ladies! I'm so tired all the time and the sleep I get at night is so shitty I wonder how I'll make it through work the next day.

I start mat leave at the end of the week and can't wait! I'm looking froward to morning and afternoon naps :P
  • Still working all week and by the time I get to the weekend and have to get the whole freaking house cleaned I am in tears from exhaustion.  Hoping I'll have a week or two of rest after the holidays and before baby is born.  By rest I mean getting the nursery done, getting all baby's stuff moved into our house from MILs and washing it, shampooing the carpets, shopping for all the stuff I haven't had a chance to get, preparing some dinners to freeze and packing my hospital bag.  This kid seriously can't come early!

  • The couch is my best friend.  I've been so tired!  I just want my normal energy level back so badly!  I hate not being able to do as much.

  • Yes! I'm going on 34 weeks and I'm seriously in zombie mode lately.. ugh! We're almost there though, ladies!
  • YES. Holy cow... 36 weeks tomorrow and I can't sleep (partially because of this pregnancy insomnia business and partially because of my newly developed eczema). Even if I could sleep, I don't know that it would help. Hubby has been working crazy hours and managed to sneak in a nap while I was still at work. I got so jealous that I cried.

We're SO close! Hopefully we all get some rest around the holidays too.
  • I just said the same thing to DH yesterday. I said I missed the 2nd trimester when I just could get n wanted to get so much done around my house. Now I'm lucky if I stop eating cereal n wash the bowls I'm using myself lol..
  • I hit the wall before I knew I was pregnant. I'm still stuck on the wall. Idk how people go to work and school, and take care of a family successfully while pregnant. I'm not doing great at work- I even got a documented verbal warning and a I got a C in the bio class I took..SMH.... so.frickin.tired.

  • oh MEEEEEEEeeeee!!!! Now that I switched obs and feel completely confident in them and baby is head down, let's get this show on the road. I have an 18 month old and a 3 year old who don't enjoy mommy laying on the couch. My little 18 month old who I love so dearly is driving me insane crawling up and down the stairs (we have 4 floors) please, child, sit and play with your trucks!!!!

    LOUD NOISES!

  • I was there- done done done, but I feel like going to physical therapy has helped me a lot. I'm in so much less pain so I can get around and actually leave the house. Plus I am sleeping a bit better. Still, a month seems so long and so short at the same time. Hopefully the holidays help the time fly by.

I could hold you for a million years to make you feel my love.
  • Ugh...me too...I am exhausted! So tired of working, I backed out of a luncheon thing today because I was too tired and sore to walk to the car. I just want to be at home in bed with a heating pad. My pelvis hurts, the joint in the right side hurts so much, I am crampy, lots of discharge which is super annoying, and my legs are feeling super swollen. We are having baked potatoes for dinner because I can stick them in the oven and rest for an hour! I found out today that my maternity leave plan won't work after all so I had to revise it which makes me go back earlier than I wanted to. I also have to work Saturday which SUCKS!!
