endometritis post-c section?

Has anyone had endometritis after a c section? I had fever, chills and cramps at 4 weeks PP (and discharge that I THOUGHT was normal) sporadically and finally went to ER.

They didn't officially diagnose as endometritis but treated me with IV antibiotics for 36ish hours. Still a little sore but not sure if this is common at 4 weeks pp. Any experiences?

    I would say it is not normal? I have had 2 c-sections and never experienced what you describe. Cramping is normal though.

    I was diagnosed with Endrometriosis that my dr said was caused by my second section but it took four years togrow large enough for me to feel it. It is a lump on my scar but pregnancy treats it so the lump is gone right now. Dr. Said it will likely reappear a few years after this baby and we will remove to than. Its not treated with meds and takes time to grow so sounds like you may have gotten a touch of an infection. Hope my experience helps :)
