Wins/positives: I've been really good at my water drinking.
Challenges: moving week - job relo. Had to commute 2 hrs both way for my job Mon-Wed so couldn't pack lunches. Since moving have had to order out mostly. Ok choices but I feel like even a salad from a restaurant is bad:)
Tips/tricks/ideas/anything else: nothing from me this week, just trying to get through this week.
Goal for next week: get to the grocery store tomorrow now that we are in the new house and start getting back to normal eating. As soon as packing is done get going on exercise DVDs again. Been about a week since a good workout. But super active and on my feet unpacking:)
Challenges: Was feeling really unmotivated this week and didn't want to get my runs in but DH pushed me and I got it done ;-)
Tips/tricks/ideas/anything else: As long as LO cooperates, I try to get workouts done in the morning. Otherwise I get very unmotivated and end up skipping my workout. So I suggest doing workouts in the morning as often as you can
Goal for next week: Really start working on my abs! I hit my goal weight but now need to tighten up that lovely "baby" flab.
Lost/gained since last week: +3.5 in the past 2? 3? Weeks
Total weight loss: about 20 I think
Wins/positives: I've been really off in my eating with family here and all the eating out/festive meals. Can I call it a win that the damage from the past few weeks isn't worse?
I guess I've been really good about drinking water, and refused dessert at least half the times it was offered.
Challenges: See above. Holidays are so hard for eating healthy. Also, I still haven't figured out an indoor winter workout that works for our schedule.
Tips/tricks/ideas/anything else: One thing that worked well for me in the past was to focus on eating more vegetables. When I did that and filled up on that first, I was less likely to be thinking about reaching for sugary stuff I didn't really want to be eating. I'm going to try this out again.
Goal for next week: Work out twice and eat two more servings of veggies a day.
Lost/gained since last week: Since last log in I've lost 4lbs
Total weight loss: 46lbs (I was 175 when I went in to labor. I gained almost 60lbs)
Wins/positives: I'm losing and getting closer to my pre-preggo weight!
Challenges: Not drinking enough water.
Tips/tricks/ideas/anything else: I'm making dinner every night with leftovers for lunch the next day which I've portioned out in containers. But I also started a cleanse last Sunday, I'm hoping it might get me past the hump to get rid of the last little bit I have left to go.
Goal for next week: Drink more water. Avoid the fudge in the teacher's lounge.
Lost/gained since last week: Gained 2...that's what I get for weighing myself after I had the stomach flu! I guess we could say I gained 1 then?
Total weight loss: 29 since birth. 6 more to go to be at my PP. Then the real work starts...
Wins/positives: I started working out again after 2 sick/holiday weeks. I think I lost an inch from my stomach and gained an inch in my hips (which is probably good since my butt was getting flat). My abs were sore last week and they definitely seemed tighter. The postpartum lack of strength in my core meant that every time I got bloated (which is often) my stomach would just bulge out. So I feel some progress has been made towards looking normal again.
Challenges: The usual-- not planning my meals which leads to a couple days with no lunch or dinner ready to go and then I eat out and get something like a burrito. Also, my best friend told me "I went back to being vegan and I lost 7 pounds in a week!" and I was like :-< Um can I?? Tips/tricks/ideas/anything else: Working on macronutrients, trying to find a groove. I'm trying for a Zone ratio of 40 carbs, 30 fat, 30 protein. I think macronutrients are far more important than how many calories you're eating. Goal for next week: Water Water Water.
@bridetobe2013 I did a cleanse I got at GNC. I think it was called total cleanse and I think it really works. It seemed to jump start my weight loss again. Although I'm worried that when I stop I'm going to gain back the water weight I lost.
