*** Sorry about the formatting, stupid iPad. Since @Birch113 is busy with a new baby, I thought I would post and change it up a touch, hope that's ok. This is the weekly check-in for all December Mamas who have previously experienced the loss of a pregnancy at any stage or a child of any age. Anyone can start the weekly check-in if you don't see it posted on Monday each week. I am 38+4 and can't believe it. We will not be discussing eviction until Jan 5th. I am feeling okay. I am not a patient person in general, so this waiting is driving me a bit nuts. I also feel like my pelvic bones are going to shatter every time I stand up. I also got my first pregnancy hemorrhoid this week, so yeah. I just my standard check this week. Blood pressure, Doppler, weigh-in. Nothing else going on just trying to have everything finished up for Christmas including wrapping incase LO decides to appear on her EDD (12/25). My fav movie is Miracle on 34th Street, the black and white classic! But I also love Elf!

Thanks for posting this @abenson3. I was thinking of doing the same thing last night but spaced. Maybe we hour change the check in title to pgal/pal check in from here on out? What do you think @birch113, @momtobe85, @cheekers2010, @linden25 etc?

How many weeks are you or how old is your LO?
4 day old baby in our house!

How are you feeling? (Physically and emotionally): really grateful, really astounded and amazed by sweet Juniper, and pretty tired. I didn't realize how anxious I was either until yesterday when DH tried to gently wake me and I thought his voice sounded a little sad and I was hysterical sobbing instantly. I think the hormone overload this week has a lot to do with it.

Any appointments, ultrasounds, or milestones this week? (Be an AW ):
Baby's first ped visit today!

What else is going on? (Good or bad):
Just emailed our photographer to schedule NB photos. She photographed our wedding so it feels extra special to have her do them. It's kind of pricey, but I decided I want this gift for myself - lovely photos of our lovely rainbow baby.

GTKY: What's your favorite Christmas movie?
Elf, I think. Smiling's my favorite!

@linden25 can I change my movie answer? You're so right about Love Actually. And hooray for Emma the eating champ. Junie was an oz above birth weight today and I was so delighted. About the miserable nips, is there a lactation consultant you can talk to? Friends have told me LCs make a huge diff...

I like the idea of the name change. Glad to hear so many babies are doing well and gaining weight.

How many weeks are you or how old is your LO? 8 days old!

How are you feeling? (Physically and emotionally): I'm doing well, although very tired. LO is up a lot to feed at night and finds it hard to settle again. I find myself just staring at my little miracle a lot though. Still amazed she's here!

Any appointments, ultrasounds, or milestones this week? (Be an AW ): We have a doctor's appointment on Friday.

What else is going on? (Good or bad): Breastfeeding is going better, but she only eats for 6-10 minutes before falling asleep. Got excited last night when she fed for almost 20 minutes until her stomach was upset and then she projectile vomited in her bassinet.

GTKY: What's your favorite Christmas movie? Another vote for Love Actually

Wow @dtremel can't believe your LOs are almost 2 mos! Poor Peyton and her reflux. I have been so relieved to not have reflux anymore; I feel so bad for little babies with it.

@kaylam14 baby is a month old?! Amazing. Are you going to take a special 1 month pic?

@rn536 oh mama, big hugs to you. Keeping up with 3 must be so exhausting. I hope you can cut yourself some slack - you're just one sleep deprived person! And hopefully it'll get easier over time. Is it similar to the adjustment you had to make when you had baby 2? Or is it much much harder? (Ps we watched some of xmas vacation while in the hospital with LO. A classic! I also really like Planes, Trains, and Automobiles. Have you seen that one?)

@brookey79 I know what you mean about staring! DH and I were watching tv tonight and realized neither of us were watching it - we were both watching the baby instead. Best show in town!

@abenson3 sorry the wait is getting to you. I hope it's her EDD before you know it, and she decides to make her grand entrance! BTW I also love the miracle on 34th street. It's so sweet!!

Holy cow, seems like I am the only one left with an inside baby! Hope all the sore nips begin to feel better soon! I also can't believe we have some babies who are a month old and even older, wow! I love hearing how all the littles at doing and I hope we continue to do a PAL check in.

40 week appt in the books. Kiddo passed the NST with flying colors, my water has not ruptured (despite some serious dampness yesterday and today), and dilated to just past 4cm/75%; repeated membrane sweep. Contracting constantly according to the monitor but I only feel them when I am up and moving. Scheduled fluid check ultrasound, NST, and likely induction (water breaking) for the 23rd at 41wks.

@megbmeg I was just thinking about this the other day of something cute that I could do with him at home every month for a special picture. Everything was all sorts of crazy when he was born and when we came home that I completely spaced taking a newborn picture at home with something, so I'm kind of kicking myself for that now!

@kaylam714 oh I hope you do it! Make it easy so you can keep up with it
