I delivered baby in my bathtub! Birth story.

Contractions started at 230pm yesterday 10min apart until about 930 pm. I hurt so I figured I would take a warm shower for the water on my back felt better. As soon as I got in the shower The contractions got super close. But I was not able to time them my DH heard me screaming and came in. He time then they were two minutes apart lasting 45 seconds. By this time we called the ob and tried to start the task of getting dressed then I felt the urge to push told DH call 911. 2sec later my water broke and after 3 more contractons and fighting the urge to push I delivered Baby Kaydence Lila at 1033 by myself kneeling in our bathtub. My DH walks in to me holding our little bundle of joy. After paramedics got there we went to the hospital and we are doing great. Breastfeeding could be going better but hey I delivered her in a bathtub that entrance deserves a little slack. I'm such a proud mommy thanks for the support ladies! After multiple losses and trying for a while so glad to hold this baby girl!

No I'm not a FTM lol I have a 5 year old DD I was in labor 3 days with her. Lol thought I had more time. I kept doubting myself about weather they were real or BH contractions but by the time the hurt so bad it was too late. Just trust yourself your body knows what to do! You will do great!

Well, this is all wet terrifying. I'm so happy for you and your family! Sounds like it was amazingly easy for you guys. I once injured myself so bad while showering with DH that I needed stitches... So I don't see having a similar positive experience over here...

thanks ladies. I told my DH you hear about these stories and never think it will happen to you. I still get that "this really happened?" Thought when I think about it. BF is going better my hospitals LC doesn't come in until night and I emailed my personal LC. Baby was latching but not staying awake but all is good now.
