Having identical twin girls. I am still leaning towards these two names. I love that they both have celestial/scientific meanings and that they are both tied into the cosmos. Only issue is that we find Aurora a little hard to pronounce..We were really set on our boy names because they were both so strong and were both constellations, I love love loved the idea of naming after a constellation and being able to one day get a telescope and show them"their" constellation, but I just haven't liked the female sounding constellation names.
I am open to opinions. We also like the name Oriana, it means golden sunrise or something to that effect. I really like matchy names but not in an over the top way. Carina is another option, I find it beautiful and love the meaning (dear, beloved) but I don't just LOVE love it.
our middle names do not matter. I originally had them in the post but people were focusing on the way they sounded with the names too much. I personally never use my middle name, except on forms or when asked for it, and don't plan to ever call the twins by their middle names (well maybe if they are in trouble, lol) We have chosen family names for the MN's-one from my fiance's side and one from mine.
Re: Aurora and Nova, bring on the opinions!
I like Aurora and Nova together.
The only thing I don't love is Leigh in the MN spot for Nova-- because said out loud it sort of sounds like "Novalee". it's not a huge deal though if the name Leigh has significance to you.

I still like Nova for your second girl's name, but Carina is also lovely.
I think if you pick Carina, stick with Lynn and Leigh.

Just for the record, I love the idea of having family names as middle names (though we did not do this) and I'd go with one name from your side and one name for your partners for your twins if you do stick to that thought.
I just don't like the middle names. They are filler names IMO and not good ones.
R is a very difficult speech sounds for children/people with articulation disorders. It is not abnormal for children to struggle with R until they are 8 or 9. I'm sure I think about it more than most but it would be very difficult to deal with if you have those issues.
