Hi ladies... I introed in October, and now it appears I am back again, at least for the time being.
My name is Kate. I have a healthy 4 year old from a previous relationship. My husband and I had our first child together via emergency c section 02/17/14, at 39 weeks 2 days. Our son lived for 31 minutes, but they were unable to save him. He died from severe meconium aspiration, secondary to a severe uterine infection that did not show any symptoms. We were cleared to try again in August of this year, and were pregnant by September. I miscarried around 6 and a half weeks, when I developed bacterial pneumonia and a kidney infection. High risk can't confirm that was the cause, but they say it likely played a part. We tried again right away, and are now just over 6 weeks pregnant. My initial betas rose appropriately. I had an ultrasound this past Wednesday (about 5 1/2 weeks), and we saw an empty sac. Repeat scan scheduled for this coming Thursday, and hoping to see a baby this time, but I'm terrified. Have woken to a little old spotting for the past 2 days, so I'm basically a nervous wreck that it's happening again...
Hoping to stick around for a while this time!
