We decorated the tree on Tuesday night and the kids had a lot of fun putting the ornaments on the tree. After it was done we told DD over and over that now we don't touch the ornaments and it is just for looking. I tried to put all the breakable ornaments up higher, but I guess I under estimated how high she could reach. We got home from work/school/daycare last night and she ran right to the tree grabbed the pickle off the tree and took a big bite out of it. It popped in her mouth and then she dropped the rest of it on the ground. She definitely swallowed some of the pieces, but I got a lot of it out of her mouth with a wet paper towel. She was not crying and it doesn't look like she has any cuts in her mouth.
I called one of my best friends who just happens to be a pediatric ER doctor (and DD's godmother) and she said that the ER won't be able to do much for her. They would check her mouth for cuts and maybe do an x-ray, but they probably won't be able to see anything in the x-ray because it is glass. The other thing she suggested was to call her doctor to see if they want to test her for lead since a lot of the ornaments made in China have high amount lead in the paint. I am just watching her for any signs of something being off and examining every poop that comes out of her to make sure there isn't any blood.
I just wanted to share my story just in case anyone else has a pickle ornament or anything that looks like food.

See seems to be fine. I checked all her diapers yesterday and no sign of anything wrong. I will continue to monitor her over the weekend.
