  We have another day filled with running errands! But it includes picking up our calendar from the photo studio! Yay.

  We are cookie decorating and ornament making with my mom group, and then out to dinner with my family for my birthday.
  
  Started the day off with 2 cinnamon rolls and coffee with eggnog so I feel pretty awesome right now

  Morning everyone! We're hosting an ugly Christmas sweater party tomorrow and Phia is spending the night at my sister's. 24 hours baby free and adult time. I can't decide what I'm more excited for: the party, or sleep.

  When I leave the house in the morning, if I have E with me, I have to say outloud that the garage door is closed, or if I'm alone, I say it to myself.  This morning I just hit the button and left, didn't look back.  Drove the 15 minutes to my moms and realized I couldn't remember if the door was closed.  So I drove back home to make sure, which it was of course.  I feel like a crazy OCD freak about that stupid garage door!

  I have a question...my brother was a total jerk over Thanksgiving and made no effort at all to spend time with us in VT and if he actually did come to a meal he was a huge grouch and left the table 20+ times to smoke, etc. and also was on his phone the whole time. I have not spoken to him since because I'm just so tired of trying sometimes with him.
  
  I just got a birthday text saying he loves me and will see me tonight. I didn't know he was coming and I'm not really happy about it because I know he will just do the same thing. But if I say something to my parents they will probably just tell me to let it go.
  
  What would you all do?

  @TJHine I don't think you're being immature. It's your birthday and you want to enjoy your dinner rather than sit across from a brooding jerk, even if it is your brother. That's what I'd tell my parents.
  
  Nothing planned. Jess is sore from all the running around we did yesterday so we're going to take it easy. Her DH doesn't have to fly today so he got an unexpected extra 3 days off. I'm about to go clean up their backyard because I think the dogs have done some damage. I'm going to have to sneak out because I'm here to help her around the house but she is trying to make me sit still!

  @motherEFFingKatie we did not do vaccines at G's 1 year visit because he was right before the cutoff of the fever threshold (he was at 100.4 and the cutoff is 100.5). They told me one (or maybe more, I don't remember) of the vaccines was a live virus. Our pedi will do vaccines with just a nurse visit so we didn't have to push off the whole appointment. We ended up pushing out the vaccines another week because he is still sick.

  Guys I have all the feels today. Birthday day, awesome friends, awesome bumpie friends, and awesome family and kiddo...and missing Tim and all that comes along with that and just wanting to be having homemade pizza and beer for dinner with him. Plus the anniversary of 12/14 coming up. My head is all sorts of up and down today.

  It's 5:30 and Matthew just went down for his second nap.. I'm terrified to move for fear of waking the beast he's been today.. He's cut 6 teeth in 5 days!!!!! We're going to see this Christmas house tonight and take soup to my uncle. He won't eat anything except chicken noodle soup. I made a huge batch so hopefully he'll eat. Tomorrow we're going shopping for our giving tree child. A 16 year old boy who likes football and basket ball. I bought him a football already, it said he needed shoes so were gonna get him a pair of Nike. But I don't know what else.. A nice hoodie? I don't know.

  So I took the kids to gym class again today because Unlimited Classes!  Well, one of the teachers was telling me how dh said all this nice stuff about me last night at the Dad/kid party.  She literally had tears in her eyes talking about how sweet he was.  Then all the teachers were telling me how our family is the best and we are their favorites.  It made my day for real.

  @LizB8943‌ thanks. ( : I've been told since I can remember that I have "an old soul" I can see that in peach already too. ( : made high school hard but I transitioned into adulthood pretty smoothly.
