NTTCALR --- Gift ideas for our parents

I'm at a loss for gift ideas for my parents... So, what are you getting yours?!?!?!  Mine are older (78 and 68) and like to play golf, read, and chill... I just have no clue what to get them.  UGH!

    It really does get harder and harder to find things for them.  My dad is nearly impossible... I got them a gift certificate this summer for a round of golf, but they havent' even used it (because my mom misplaced it)... UGH!

    I don't see my parents all that often (a few weeks a year for my mom and a week a year for my dad, if I'm lucky) so the gifts I give areuusually representative of the time we spent together. Like my mom and I went and saw a movie together when she was here in the summer so I'm getting them a dvd of that movie. That sort of thing.
    I also tend to send them a flower arrangement or a gift basket.

    THanks guys.  I'm going to go peruse the mall and try to shop for them instead of me... THey just don't make it easy... Dad's not very good at technology and they don't love movies... LOL.  My dad refuses to read much as well. 

    I like the gift basket type idea.  Maybe I can do something with that.

    So hard to shop for parents sometimes. I got my mom a soundbar for her TV since she mentioned it's hard to hear sometimes.

    I have no idea for his parents or my dad yet.

    So, I guess I'm just in here to say I hope you find something at the mall because I was no help at all :|
    I am not sure how to say this without getting a "solicitation" warning so I guess I just say that I am not longer active on THIS site.

    I got my dad a tumbler from Teavana that will hold tea warm for 9hrs and has a little compartment that you can put loose leaf tea in.
    My mom really wanted blush (not super exciting)
    For my in-laws, we got my FIL a cover for his smoker that he just got and MIL a sweater (LOFT is having 40% off this weekend)
    Married 07/2006, TTC since 2010
    08/2011: Clomid 50mg, IUI --> BFN  ,
    10/2011: Clomid 100mg, IUI --> BFN
    04/13: Clomid, IUI BFP --> MC at 6w1d
    05/13: Femara 2.5mg, IUI --> BFN  , 08/13: Femara 2.5mg --> BFN
    03/14: Femara 5mg, IUI --> 1 follicle @ 27d --> BFP! EDD 12/02/14--> blighted ovum, missed MC 6w6d --> D&C
    4/23: D&C...starting over again, with a little part of my heart broken off
    5/31: Femara 7.5mg --> cancelled cycle, no follies
    7/14: Femara 5mg + brevelle + menopur + IUI --> converted to IVF, ER 7/28 --> ET cancelled due to severe OHSS.
    9/20/14:  Frozen Embryo Transfer --> BFP--> EDD 6/6/15 --> MC at 5w3d      
    10/16/14: Frozen Embryo Transfer --> BFN
    2/6/15: Frozen Embryo Transfer --> BFP --> MC at 5w4d
    3/20/16: PGS-tested Frozen Embryo Transfer --> BFP, Living Child born 12/1/15
    6/6/17: Fresh IVF Cycle --> Severe OHSS, 5 PGS-tested embryos frozen
    2/23/18: PGS-tested FET --> BFN
    3/30/18: Cancelled cycle due to lining 4.2mm
    6/21/18: PGS-tested FET --> BFN

    My Inlaws we got a 3 month 2 bottle wine club membership. My parents are getting ticket to see musical Chicago. My parents are 65, in laws are 70 - as they get older "experience" gifts instead of things are always our top choices.

    TTC since July 2009. Dx MFI & LPD.

    My impossible to shop for father has a birthday right after Christmas. Between the two days, I bought him and my mom places in a speciality cooking class (specific to region he's been getting into lately) and the Ancestry.com DNA kits. (They're both interested in genealogy and fans of the PBS show.) Good luck!
