On dec 9 last year we learned that the heart had stopped beating on our first Fetey. It was supposed to be a 12 week ultrasound and the baby measured 8 weeks. They gave me two rounds of cytotec which didn't work till late at night on the 11th.
I thought i was gonna make it through okay. Last night around 11 as i walked out of the restroom where it happened one year ago i just burst into tears. My hubby rushed to me and just held me. Then he got out these paper lantern candle things he made a few weeks back and lit the candles and held me on the love seat while I cried. Then he promised we could do this lantern thing every year as a family holiday to remember Fetey. We talked of all the sad things from the year then all the happy things then all the things we learned over the year. We stayed that way for well over an hour.
I feel conflicted today. Happy to feel lots of kicks from peep-fetey 2, but feeling so sad over my first. Just wanted to share with someone who may understand.
