Frozen birthday party too girly for 9 year old boy?

So my 8 year old's birthday is in January. We have decided to do a painting party like Canvas and Cocktails style. They will bring all the art supplies (paint, brushes, canvas, etc) to our house and set up. My son wants to paint a picture of Olaf which in itself isn't girly. All the kids would be able to take their painting home as their party favor.

My question is, since we are painting Olaf, should I get some Frozen decorations like plates, cups, napkins or should I just leave Olaf alone and get some other decorations? I am not sure if my then 9 year old would get made fun of for the Frozen birthday or really enjoy it?

OMG I just googled party decorations and although I can make the colors work for a boy with the blues, the other decorations are pretty much all princess. LOL

What does everyone think about this invitation? I would tweak it say say "Paint" a snowman instead of build.

I don't think it's a big deal at all.

But this is coming from someone who didn't bat an eye when her friend's kids (a boy and a girl) dressed as Ana and Elsa for Halloween.

I think it's fine! You could always just do an Olaf themed party? Or winter theme, if you're finding the decorations to be too girly.

Ds loves frozen. I am seeing a lot of boy themed frozen stuff. I don't think it has to be girly, unless you did all Elsa or something. Lol

@holl321, how old is your DS? For my 2 year old, I think some of the stuff would be fine but for my 9 year old, I can't do Elsa and Anna for the decorations.

There's a ton of Olaf stuff that isn't girly. I say give him the choice. Who cares if it is girly so long as he enjoys himself?

If this helps my 9 year old Boy loves Olaf and is getting a Olaf night light in his stocking.

also he is currently downstairs watching the princesses and the frog. By choice
