I just had a Redds Apple Ale while cooking dinner.

My favorite thing to drink during the holidays is champagne or wine spritzers. No one kind in particular.

I love wine. Wine wine wine. Preferably Chardonnay but really, just wine. (I'm excited because I'm going to my work party where there will be, you guessed it, WINE.)

My mom makes this Christmas sangria that is amazing. I can't wait to have some with Christmas dinner.

Get the recipe!!! I'm trying a Christmas sangria tomorrow night (we're having a gingerbread house decorating party) and I found one on Pinterest that looked good. I'd take a recommendation though!

Actually, he usually asks me before he has a drink... We've had alcohol issues with him before. I never told him to ask me before he drinks, but it's kind of nice that he is considerate of my feelings about it. Him not wanting me to drink and nurse I think is more about him being a first time dad and being overly cautious about it, no matter how much I tell him it's fine. It's still frustrating though.

DH was the same way. He'd always be like, "can I have one more cider?" I always said yes.

Huckleberry lemon drop, vanilla vodka and coke are my faaaves. I don't have a holiday fave. I'll join the party when FI gets home with pepsi and Smirnoff sour fruit punch.

I am drinking a $4 bottle of Pinot Grigio. Someone recommend a good type of white wine. I am normally a red wine drinker, the drier and more astringent the better, but DS gets an eczema flare up when I drink red wine before nursing (could be some other factor, but I switched to white and we're doing good).

I know nothing about white wines. What's a less sweet white I can try?

We had both of our company holiday parties tonight. I wore a dress, heals, and even a bra!

Over a 4 hour span I enjoyed one glass of champagne and 3 glasses of wine. I don't have any alcohol test strips, so I am currently pumping and dumping...which is even more depressing when you have a supply problem. I felt tipsy, though, so it wasn't worth the risk to me.

Mmmm Hendricks! My mom gets DH the big bottle every year for xmas and that's the only time we have it. Looking forward to some holiday G&Ts soon. If you haven't already, swap the lime for cucumber

I'm primarily a red drinker, but really like La Crema Chardonnay. It's buttery and oaky, not super fruity.

Sorry for being my such a PW lady's.... For you rum and coke lovers, might I suggest soaking maraschino cherries in Bacardi 151 then using that to make cherry rum and coke? Obv I know more about booze than babies

Hey I have a question for everyone. For those of you who are breastfeeding are you feeding LO before/after/while drinking? Are you using the alcohol test strips, pumping and dumping, bottle feeding, etc? I swear I'm not being judgy, I'm just asking for my own peace of mind. Every time I have a drink I get nervous about feeding DD and usually give her a bottle of pumped milk. I had some supply issues early on so the thought of wasting any milk bothers me. So far I've only been having a maximum of one beer, one cider or half a glass of wine per day once and a while but with the holidays I know I will want to drink more. I haven't even bothered with hard liquor yet.

Sorry to hijack a fun thread with a sort of serious question but it just got me thinking. Everyone's all like "Yay alcohol :-bd " and I'm just sitting here like "None for me, thanks

Normally I'm a wine and cider girl and my favorite holiday drink is mimosa on Christmas morning. I also love a good martini!

Have a drink. enjoy it. don't dump! As long as you aren't trashed you're good to feed LO. If you are trashed, pump and save the milk. Add it 1oz at a time to "non-contaminated" milk. Cheers!

Can you not have a bottle ready for the baby when he is away and then pump after you are done feeding the baby?
