  I wish we could just check people like that into mental health clinics. They need to work that crap out in therapy. They need something--but it's not a baby!!

  I had a student last year who had a m/c with her bf (apparently the pregnancy was an oops), but then started actively TTC and got KU early on in the school year... she was still in high school!

  That is totally insane and completely irresponsible. I'd give a 17 year old a baby for a day and bet she couldn't cope.

  I work in a high school as an athletic trainer and one of my wrestlers' GF who is in the middle school (8th grade) just made him a daddy.  Meanwhile he is off getting arrested for selling his parents prescriptions medications!  That poor child he did not ask to be brought into the world like that and the 8th grader is keeping the baby!

  doesn't that just make  you sick? and people who truly deserve and want babies have a hard time getting pregnant/having children. i will never understand it.

  I'm thinking the new trend might be because kids do everything earlier now (gee I sound like my grandmother!!!!) you know they start dating earlier, drinking earlier, so when I was 17 I was still into clubbing but now a 17 year old probably have been drinking/having sex since 12-14 years old so its getting old..they need something new.

  Frightening! She has a rude awakening coming to her. Schools should require students (both boys and girls) to take course that drives home the responsibilities and realities of getting pregnant, enduring a pregnancy, giving birth, and raising the baby. They need to revamp adult roles classes. Some kids just don't understand that they're toying with the creation of a whole new person. It breaks my heart to see the carelessness of some teenagers, especially when I have people close to me that would give anything just to get pregnant.

  I am sorry but if you aren't old enough to vote you shouldn't be able to have a kid.  That is just ridiculous.
