Girl names that Billie can be short for??

My H and I are having trouble naming our baby girl. We have no names in common from both our lists. As a reference: he likes Opal, Gail, Abigail, and Eloise - all of which I vetoed. I like Jacqueline, Beatrice, Louise (you would think we could compromise this with Eloise but no), and Hazel (most of which he has vetoed). Neither of us are totally in love with any name: when asked what he would name her if she popped out today all I got was an I don't know.

Currently, he likes boy names as girls name (NMS). However, he recently suggested Billie. I am trying to compromise, as it is a boy-sounding name, but is actually a legitimate girl name as well. I think it sounds too nicknamey (even though I know it is a legit stand alone FN) and we are trying to come up with a longer name that we can use Billie as the nickname for.

We can't use Willa, Wilhemena or Willow because of tooo much alliteration with our LN (Whitaker) - I could go with a W-W alliteration (Wesley was one of our top boy contenders), but the W - i - consonant - A sounds for both FN and LN is too much for me. So, question 1: are there other full names you can think of that Billie could be a nickname for?

Additionally, we are not opposed to using a FN and MN to get Billie. I am trying to convince him to use Beatrice Louise (nn Billie) but he thinks that the 'B' from the first name has to be paired with a more 'lee' MN than Louise is giving (which is a 'Loo' sound that he doesn't like). Are there middle name suggestions other than just plain Leah or Lee that will sound good with Beatrice in the FN spot and give a 'Lee' sound to generate Billie as a NN?

    I'm not clear on what your opposition is to simply naming her Billie. It's cute.

    Hmmmm. This is tough. I bet others will have some suggestions. I like your idea of using FN and MN to get to the NN Billie. Lita? Lina? Liana? Lucia (Loo-SEE-ah)?

    I am drawing a blank on FN options that could be NN Billie but would not start with the WI sound.

    I like Lena, but there is a dead aunt (died early of not super nice circumstances) that we want to avoid reference to on his side.

    Lenora (and similar sounding names) H has a strong personal aversion to because of a horrible person he once knew. 

    Lucia is the name of a baby of a close friend of ours and still gives the 'loo' vs. 'lee' sound H is going for. 

    Obviously, I feel like we have been through every name combo, so I really appreciate outside input !  

    I know we can nn her anything - in this case it is a struggle to get him to reconsider Beatrice (he previously vetoed) to get Billie so he might just be looking for a way to veto it again as well.

    I'm not a huge fan of Billie but I do like Beatrice and I kind of like what you're looking to do with a middle name. What about Leah? Beatrice Leah with nn Billie. Then when she's older, she can go with whichever name she prefers.

    aww, you're the first person in my life who I've heard say this! <3 lol. My name is Sybil (though it's spelled differently) and one of my good friends has called me Billie since The day we met ;) I was actually going to suggest the name Sybil. 

    Sybil is on my GP list. When I told my sister that she stated "Just so you know, I'm going to call her Billie." I don't love Billie as a nn, but if you're looking for a compromise, it works.

    A stretch, but if you wanted, Wilhelmina, nn Billie. Bill is short for William, so why not?

    I adore the name Beatrice! I really hope you find a MN to make it work to satisfy your DH's desire for Billie. I'm with you that I find Billie too nickname-y.

    Why not Beatrice Eloise? You both get a name and I suppose it leads more to Billie than Beatrice Louise does.

    Oh Hi Madd! I love love love Beatrice, and actually was thinking Beatrice Eleanor/Eloise AND that might help DH feel "heard" with the Eloise? And Beatrice has tons of other NN options if Billie isn't for everyone! 

    Also love Sybil. Also Camille. Also Willa, even with the alliteration!

    This is all I can find:

    Typically short for Wilhelmina/Willa...which you don't want

    Or used with another name, so....

    Billie Mae
    Billie Jane
    Billie Faye
    Billie Marie
    Billie Rose
    Billie Grace....etc

    Only names I can think that would work otherwise are Belinda or Sybil
