Two good points made here by a couple commenters : As a lawyer, I can tell you Mr. Edelman misused General Laws Chapter
93A. Damages are not to be assessed until a "reasonable offer" to
settle was not made. The restaurant owner did so.
I'm thinking misleading an unrepresented individual into believing that
Ch. 93A requires paying a party triple what he's entitled might be a
violation of the Rules of Professional Responsibility.
Seriously. I mean, I get telling the place that what they charge you is different from what's on their website. But alerting the authorities and trying to extort extra money out of the restaurant seems ridiculous. On the plus side, I'll have to check this place out for Chinese food!

My husband who's a 4th year law student agrees with this as well. What he did why highly unethical.
