Week/Fruit: 36/Honeydew
How are you feeling? Slowing down, stomach more upset but hanging in here.
Appointments/Updates? Tuesday appointment went well and last Maternal Fetal appointment tomorrow. Last OBGYN appointment Tuesday and I give birth next Thursday! I can't believe just one week and this little baby will be in my arms. I really don't feel like its real!
Have you bought/received anything for the baby recently? The Mamaroo came this week!
Rants/Raves: I am getting a bit more sleep at night. I could not sleep for more then a couple of hours a night for several weeks and now I am sleeping for 6 hours or so! Glad to have a little sleep before baby.
QOTW: Favorite children's book? The Pokey Little Puppy! I know weird but I loved it as a child :-)
Best part of your week? The success of taking her out several times on my own!
Worst part of your week? Adjusting to the lowered sleep I'm getting, it can make me edgy/cranky sometimes.
Milestones? Pedi appt today showed she's a great 6lbs 7oz!! She gained 8 ounces since last week, which he said was wonderful- especially for a preemie. She also did a 4.5 hour stretch of sleep last night. And she's looking around a lot more in the past few days- staying up in longer chunks throughout the day.
QOTW: So far, how are you handling the germ season with a newborn (staying inside, only vaccinated visitors, no extreme measures, etc.)? Definitely not staying in, unless the weather is SUPER cold. But we live in Canada, so you know. It's something she'll have to get used to, lol. She's already been to the grocery store. Walmart, Target and the mall. And we're going out to dinner this weekend with her. I use my carrier or sling mostly when we go out so people can't get near her. Or I use the stroller and put the "hood" down so she's kinda covered. No one has really tried to get near her or anything. We're allowing visitors. But I do make people wash their hands before holding her, and no one allowed over if they're sick.

How are you feeling? I feel like an old lady who can hardly do anything for herself. Good thing my DH is very helpful. Same old symptoms: acid reflux, pelvic pressure, back aches, fatigue...
Appointments/Updates? Had an appointment on Tuesday - everything seems right on track. My next appointment (12/23) we get to see baby and doctor is going to start checking me - is it already that close?!
Have you bought/received anything for the baby recently? We got tons of baby supplies at the showers thrown for us last week. Our rocker is also in - need to pick that up this week! I also literally just purchased the infant carseat + infant body support.
Rants/Raves: I'm still in awe of the amazing baby shower my MIL & BFF threw for me. Check out my blog for pictures - they totally outdid themselves!
QOTW: Favorite children's book? I've always loved the classic Peter Rabbit books.

How are you feeling? I'm doing alright I guess. Some random nausea and I feel like little dude is cramping my style...aka ribs...still able to go with only one wake up a night for pee breaks though so I'm happy about that.
Appointments/Updates? Had an appointment on Tuesday where she couldn't even get to my cervix to check it. That was kind of depressing. Next appointment is on the 16th. At that appointment I'm going to ask them about what happens when he's officially late (because at this point I'm convinced he's going to be late).
Have you bought/received anything for the baby recently? My mom gave a cute little Christmas ornament with his name on it last weekend. I plan on going out this weekend and getting him a little stocking
Rants/Raves: Rave - DH is going to try and work some magic to be able to come home for a long weekend with Christmas, regardless of Gavin's status. If y'all could say a little prayer that he's able to, that would be awesome...I would love to have just a few quality days of time with just the two of us. Rant - I'm done being pregnant...but if Gavin decides he doesn't want to come out until evicted, I still have 4.5 weeks until he's evicted...I am not a patient person and this is not working for me...
QOTW: Favorite children's book? I loved Angelina Ballerina when I was a kid. I also really liked Where The Wild Things Are.

Have you bought/received anything for the baby recently? I have been trying to order the crib online for 2 days, but my computer keeps acting up!
Rants/Raves: I am appreciative that my job is throwing us a baby shower (DH and I work at the same place)...but new management and new rules are saying that it has to be done during my 30 minute lunch time. It's just annoying. I could go on, but there's way too much! On a brighter note, I've officially decided to start my leave (assuming my ob will ok me to be off) on 12/29, the day I should return from my vacation. So I only have till next Thursday and I'm outta here!!!
QOTW: Favorite children's book? The Giving Tree and The Lorax
How are you feeling? Exhausted. Can't seem to sleep for more than a handfull of hours at a time, and I'm getting really sick of it.
Appointments/Updates? 33w OB appointment tomorrow~ Adoptive family's coming up for lunch beforehand, and attending the appointment with me. Also we're going to attend a birthing class/informational meeting with the RN of the OB's office

Rants/Raves: Rant: I'm really tired of being tired, and nothing's comfortable anymore. I'm so glad there's only a little more of a month to all of this, that means it's nearly over, at least!
Rave: Aw yiss chinese buffet food tomorrow. Can. not. wait.
QOTW: Favorite children's book? My grandma had this really old book of fairy tales, I can't remember what it was called. It was all the general/classic fairy tales in an amber-toned book with really nice artwork on/in it, and the pages were gold-edged on the outside, so it shimmered really pretty. Man, I miss that book.. I wish I could remember what it was.

The last few days I have been waking up cranky and go from being completely lethargic to wanting to do a million things all at once.

Next appointment is Monday and will be doing the strep b test and after that appointments will be done weekly! = )

I have been impulse buying clothes and hair bows/headbands like crazy this last week even though I know she has more than enough!!

Rant: We bought our 10 year old daughter a bunny for Christmas and have had it hidden in our room for the last week and I swear it waits for me to finally get comfortable and fall asleep then wants to have its little bunny water bottle party! = |

Week/Fruit: 33 / Durian (Does anyone actually eat these)?
How are you feeling? I feel pretty good except my hips and pelvis hurt ALL DAY about 3-4 times per week.
Appointments/Updates? My doctor told me at my last appt (2 days ago) that baby is head down and I'm measuring fine but not really gaining any weight. My weight is back to what it was in July, so I'm even.
Have you bought/received anything for the baby recently? Nope. But my hubby finally painted the baby's room (soft gray) and it looks great!
Rants/Raves: I can't believe how fast that time is going by. I have 7 weeks to go and 31 days left of work!
QOTW: Favorite children's book? The Giving Tree and The Secret Garden.
