As I puttered through the bathroom this morning, cleaning up after my hubby as I always do, I once again got to wondering what goes on in his head. Does he think the hand towel magically re-hangs itself on its own every morning, or his shaver just jumps up onto tiny little feet and hops back into the charging cradle after use every day? How can he not notice that SOMEONE does it for him every day? He doesn't even think about it I'm sure, but it makes me chuckle. Running joke in our house is how unobservant he is, he never notices anything, can never find something even if it stares him in the face, and forgets or loses his phone somewhere in the house at least twice a day.
So, what kind of 'hubby quirks' do you deal with that just make you shake your head?

Re: NTTCALR: Hubby quirks
DH defintely does some funny ones around the house. For example, he puts his dirty clothes on top of the hamper. Come on, open it and place clothes inside! It is a part of my routine twice a day to place them inside for him.
But the funny one is while driving. DH and I are both speed demons and feel the need to get around people often. So, when he is passing someone and speeding up by hitting the gas, he will literally bounce in his seat like it helps. So cute that I shake my head and giggle.
Edit: clarify

MH sets stuff down anywhere and everywhere, then can't find it. I seem to be the finding expert, which had been everywhere from under the sink to inside the fridge. It cracks me up every time!
I do NOT take care of this for him either. I used to, but I have enough laundry to do without worrying about his. It's definitely a sore spot though. I may or may not have thrown clothes purposely on the floor because they were in my way. I also may or may not have done this knowing that the cat would pee on them if left there for days.

MH leaves his dirty clothes behind the bathroom door ! It drives me insane! They stack up and then you can barely get the door to open all the way. He puts his dirty clothes on his side of the bed on the floor because he might wear them again. Also, the recycling bin is right outside the door in the garage but he insists on laying it all next to the garbage can and just lets it keep piling it up! Also, everything I mean EVERYTHING is a joke to him - doesn't matter what it is he always tries to turn into a joke. He's very OCD about his stuff on the dresser which is so weird because everything else he just leaves laying around. Everything has to be lined up and all the labels facing the same way. When I get mad at him I go in there and face everything the wrong way.

When he trims his beard he either does it in the sink or over the toilet. He never cleans it up! I sat down on the toilet one day and had his beard hair all over my ass.
I love that man...I love that man...I love that man....
When he shower, he strips naked and leaves his clothes in a heap by the shower door.....just leaves them. One day I left them for 3 days and finally said please God just walk to the basket. It lasted for about 2 days and then back to the piles.
The worst offense is when I've been busy all day, and finally get to sit down on the couch and relax, he will just casually mention he's hungry and get all cuddly until I go get him a snack.
(Also, I could go on....and on...)
I'm a push over.

He also has trouble finding the hamper and putting away his coats. I usually play pick up so I can do the laundry. Seems to be a common issue for men!
He's super anal about electronics and finances. I think my slight OCD drives him a little crazy though too
BFP #1: EDD 05/27/2014 (D&C 10/17/2014)
Overall, I think my only issues with my husband are due to his lack of what I call clean. I have a different definition of clean than he does.
My definition = we can eat off the floor.
His definition = he can see the floor.
And to all the other ladies who have hubbies that trim facial hair, I feel your pain. I see facial hair trimmings all over the sink and bathroom floor for days afterwards and I hate it. We have a small cordless Shark vac that I continue to urge him to use, but he never does. It's irritating.

@heartbot I must be reminded of things...or at least reminded to look at the calendar!
And I am lol'ing at all of these things in here, ladies! I know I am not perfect but...MH is definitely worse
His way of putting away clean dishes involves leaving pots, pans, storage containers sitting out bc he doesn't know where they go. We've been in our house 3.5yrs! I've never reorganized since we unpacked.
And all the things he can't find just miraculously appear stocked in the house. Some magical elf makes sure we never run out of toilet paper, shampoo, dog food..sigh.

@heartbot MH is also an electronic hoarder. I have a clear game boy from circa 1997 that he won't get rid of. We also have a HUGE box of just cords... I mean a 3 x 3 x 2 foot box...
AFM, my gripe isn't about what he DOES it is about what he DOESN'T do. We've never NEVER been on vacation. He will not spend any money on anything then gets mad at me when I spend money on myself. Then, he won't create a budget to help us with our spending. So I'm in charge of all our bills and expenses but get a periodic audit on our account. Plus he has an alert on our back account so it texts him if our checking gets below a specific amount. He isn't controlling with money, but just gets crabby and stressed about it. Drives me NUTTY. I'm a free spirit and not so worried about finances because I trust I won't make us broke, but he is in another universe.
That being said, I leave the dresser drawers open and leave shit laying around all the time. I think those things send him into orbit, so I guess we're even!

Also, I'm mad at him right now, so this may be affecting my response to this post.
