Re: MoM's Check in! (12/11)

  • 31w2d today! Last Friday had u/s & the boys are at 19% discordance. Doc said to start 2x weekly NSTs along with my 1x week cervix check. Next week I have another growth scan & if they get worse than 20%, I will go back on hospital bed rest for 2WEEKS! Which puts me past Xmas so all I'm focusing on is bed rest & eating lol.

Other than that I'm good. Starting to get uncomfortable sleeping. & I feel like there's so much to do bf the boys come.

I have Avent bottles ready & was going to try dr. Browns too.

Just released from the hospital today at 32 weeks after being there for over a month. Feeling a little nervous being away from the doctors, but it is good to be home. I am also growing increasingly uncomfortable and a full night's sleep is a thing of the past it seems. Hoping being at home in my bed will be a little better.

    GTKY: Advents here too.
  • Hi ladies!
Last week was probably my toughest thus far, I was having really bad pelvic pain, sort of SPD-ish. It's better this week but still present. Add me to the list of people who miss sleeping well! I wake up to readjust or pee, or because I'm congested and can't breathe. My calves/cankles/feet are rather swollen so I try to spend a decent amount of time with them up. My hands are also a bit swollen and very achy. Yeah, it's been a week. Growth scan on Mon, I'm eager to see how big they are now!

Hitting 30w today feels like a milestone, new decade! I'm also starting to think about packing a hospital bag, just in case, and making sure the most important to do's get done ASAP. Time is flying by, and with the holidays I'm sure Jan will be here in no time!

QOTW: I'm going to try Playtex but I'll only buy a few to see how they work. I know lots of people had to try a few brands to find what worked best for their little ones.

  • Sorry for the post and run yesterday!

Not much to update! 31 weeks and moving along. My hands are slightly sore, but nothing major. I have been very lucky to have a pretty easy pregnancy so far. Next OB appt is next week! I am getting nervous Jan will be here before we know it!

(((hugs))) to all the bed rest ladies and also the ladies who are really uncomfortable right now.

QOTW: I have Avents (classic and naturals) and some Tommee Tippies. I don't really want to deal with all the extra parts in Dr. Browns, but I did hear good things. I ordered the Dr. Browns formula pitcher, so I can mix formula in batches!

  • @abseptember‌ I am sleeping ok. I do have to get up to pee at least once during the night. Right now I am on a pillow top air mattress, because we are painting our bedroom. :/ My hips are always a little sore in the morning when I wake up, but they were like that with my bed too. The snoggle was a waste for me. To big and I didn't notice any difference using it.

  • Just over 30 weeks now- start  weekly NST testing in less than two weeks and had a good OB appointment.  I have a lot of swelling in just one foot- which is pretty painful.  Still working on all the home organization projects I have to be ready for these babies- my goal is to be ready to go by Jan 1- at home and at work!

I used glass Avent bottles with my first two and they worked great. I will likely do the same this  time.

I'm 31 weeks today and we had an impromptu visit to the OBs office today for BH contractions coming 4 minutes start. My cervix is still in good shape but I am being watched for pre-e now because I was right over the high BP mark and have somehow gained 8 pounds since last Thursday. So far orders are just to rest this weekend and if I don't get a call by tomorrow evening I'm clear to continue with my regular routine. The doc is checking for my preterm labor risk. I need these girls to bake a few weeks longer!

ETA : we have like 4 different brands of bottles to try depending on if I stick with breast feeding or not and gift packages. I think I'll like the playtex ventaire ones, I used those with DD.

  • Just past 29 weeks here. Definitely uncomfortable. Tired a lot. If I stay moving all day, I am good. The minute I sit down, I am done! Less than a week and hubby will finally be home and that will help. Dealing with awful heartburn, no matter what foods I avoid. Had a question for you ladies... Have you had to change your underwear or wear pads consistently? I never experienced so much leakage from DD or DS. I figured I would see what y'all thought cause your all a few weeks ahead of me:)

@jaytee16‌ I think I'm having pelvic pain.. I don't know what SPD is lol. But does it feel like a side cramp from running but low in your pelvis?

Anyone else experiencing this pain? Just started this morning & I've been doing nothing. I'm sure it's normal but I'm just more worried bc of having contractions so early. TIA!

@hais_mommy‌ yes! Def need a liner! Kind of like I pee my pants a little bit all day lol but it's not pee.

  • @MissEm15 - sorry, I was offline most of the weekend and am just seeing this now.  To me what you described sounds a little more like RLP.  My pain was really intense and basically feels like it's in my pubic bone.  When rolling over in bed, or sitting up from lying down, I can hear grinding/clicking/cracks in my pelvis area (::shudder::), walking is hard immediately after getting up and trying to stand on one leg, like while getting dressed was near impossible, I have to sit down to put my pants on now.  More info here if you're interested.
