Am I the only one that still checks out books in a real library?
Nope! I love the library. It's one of my favorite places in the world.
I love the feel of a real book and flipping the pages and using whatever I can find to mark my place. Plus I like being able to read for free (unless it's a stupid Outlander book that takes me 3-4 weeks to finish and I get a $.60 late fee)
Can I put in an anti-vote for books that are super popular and likely to have long waiting lists at the library? I'd prefer not to have to go buy more books right now, as much as I do love buying books! I also don't like horror, if one gets chosen I will try it but will likely chicken out and not finish.
Sure. Just pick a specific book to suggest so that we can vote on it.
I'm going through my goodreads shelves soon to pick out a few things.
I'm going to start reading Flowers in the Attic. If we agree on something different I'll read that too. I'd actually love a good trashy book but I'm okay with whatever we pick.
My votes are for Flowers in the Attic or Phoenix Rising (A Ministry of Peculiar Events Novel). Anyone that wants Christopher Pike needs to suggest a specific title. Keep in mind that if a book is a part of a series we don't have to read the whole series as a group. We can read the first book and decide on something else after that's done.
@JNerd Can you put a poll together tonight? If not I can do it when I'm done making dinner.
Re: This is a pole about a book club
Eta: I changed it because I'm drunk.
Yes?

I like Literature with a capital L and I like total trash.
Go big or go home, I say.
When I saw the name, I immediately thought of Star Trek. I had to google to double check. I'm old too but I don't recall those books.
How old am I?
Christopher Pike was my favorite author in middle school. I will join if he is picked.
I read his earlier stuff inthe 80s. I love being an oldie.
I will give anything a try, but I love Ya books the most

Reminder to please suggest specific books so we know what our options are.
Squeaker is melting down and I need to calm her before she wakes DS.
