I also hope that someone comes here and says that they think it's ok to keep shipments that aren't theirs.
The guilt would eat me alive!

My UO: it seems like some ladies on the board expect everyone to walk on eggshells. That's not who I am IRL and it's not who I want to be online when I'm seeking comfort, friendship and support from others.

I am trying to be more active to help rid the line of oldies / newbies / those in-between because the posts about bringing everyone together really touched me. I just hope everyone remembers that each woman's triggers are different and everything can't be a ***warning***. Note, I definitely don't condone being a blatant asshat either. Moving forward, when I am available, I am more than happy to be more vocal in offering support as well as calling a cray person out. With the lurking on the board and my participation up until this point, I can say this has done wonders for me and I have many of you to thank for that.

    Mine...

    I HATE company work parties.

Why does management think it's such an awesome thing?? Just give me my bonus and say "Merry Christmas, Thanks for all your hard work!"

@furrypaws I was coming here to say this! I hate them so much. I already see these people 40+ hours a week, and then on my off-time as well. Ours are also usually really awkward, with few people knowing how to best interact in a social setting.

    Humbug, indeed.

I'm the opposite - I LOVE them. Couldn't exactly say why, but it might have something to do with the fact that when I was growing up, my dad's company threw awesome parties. They had one for the whole family and one for adults only where everyone got dressed up super fancy.

My company has, unfortunately, stopped doing Christmas parties except one in-house for the residents. I'm actually thinking I might host one next year. Then again, I'm in a unique spot, in that I sometimes don't see certain people for a week or 2.
And UPS apparently stopped doing them due to some incident that happened, though H informed me that some of his coworkers are renting a room and going out drinking - without SO's. Really H? Really?

  • So maybe my UO is that I love work Christmas parties? We're doing a lunch sponsored by management - upper management ordering catering and middle management bringing sides with an optional white elephant gift exchange for everyone. Then my team is doing a karaoke party after the holidays. I'm looking forward to both!

I'll be at a new place providing support.

  • @MrsSnyder124 TOTALLY agree. I try to teach my students that you don't have to like or agree with everyone to be able to get work done. They're young, so it's hard for them, but I think we are making progress.

  • My UO: I don't like to decorate for the holiday's. I mean, I LOVE seeing other people's trees and decorations but I just have never liked decorating myself. I am actually kinda ashamed of this.
I am not sure how to say this without getting a "solicitation" warning so I guess I just say that I am not longer active on THIS site.
