GTKY: What is your favorite Holiday song?

How far along are you (weeks)?: 28 weeks. Officially third tri regardless of the resource you go by. So yay!

What fruit/veggie/inanimate object?: eggplant

Any upcoming appointments?: I just had my 28 week appt yesterday. Had the glucose test and rhogam shot. Now I go every two weeks; next appt is a few days before Christmas.

Updates/Rants/Raves/AW Moments?: We FINALLY decided on how we wanted to do the baby's room. I'm pretty excited about it. It's Alice in Wonderland (sort of). Peachy pink with baby blue accents, old fashioned hand mirrors, a lap made with tea cups, old keys, etc. Very subtle.

My nursery plan for a girl! McKenna will totally have an Alice in Wonderland themed room!

GTKY: What is your favorite Holiday song? I stole this from Wednesday's ticker change discussion. But I LOVE Hark the Harold Angel Sings or Oh Holy Night. Those are my favorites. When I was in choir for college, there were a few songs that few people know, but one was called Candlelight Carol, which will make you cry, I swear, and Still Still Still. Both absolutely gorgeous songs.

Today! I'm RH negative so I'm off to get my Rhogam injection today. Thrilling stuff.

Updates/Rants/Raves/AW Moments?:

I'm a teacher and parent-teacher interviews were interesting with a very active baby squirming around. At one point he fully did a flip while I tried to maintain eye contact with a parent. Weird!!

GTKY: What is your favorite Holiday song?
The Christmas Waltz... "Frosted window panes..." Etc

How far along are you (weeks)?: 28 weeks! There are a lot of 3/5 moms in our group!

What fruit/veggie/inanimate object?: eggplant

Any upcoming appointments?: Today. I have my glucose test. I guess I might be getting my rhogam shot too? I know I'm RH negative but I can't remember when my doctor said I would be getting the shot.

Updates/Rants/Raves/AW Moments?: Ugh I've been getting this awful pain in my ribs, but only when I'm sitting down. Standing, walking, I'm totally fine, but as soon as I sit down BAM! pain. It would be fine if I had the energy to always be standing and walking, but unfortunately, I don't.

GTKY: What is your favorite Holiday song? My absolute favorite Holiday song is "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas" especially when sung by Judy Garland.

@mommyofkaylin Love the nursery board! That will be so cute! Ours is going to be a Neverland theme, but subtle like yours. We're doing light blue and grey for the colors, and then finding artwork that we like to hang around the room. We also put together a Thomas Kinkade Peter Pan puzzle that we're going to frame and put up as well.

@mrsanders2013, that is so cute! If we were having a boy, we'd be doing a Neverland theme as well!

We decided several years ago that we would be doing a Neverland nursery no matter the sex of my first child because I just love the story and the magic of it all. So we're keeping it fairly neutral, but throwing in some of the quotes about Wendy on the wall. I also like that then I can use it again if/when we have a second kid no matter the sex, and can easily make subtle changes to the quote decorations to make them more about boys, if we have a boy.

ETA: We're also huge Disney nerds, so even if it wasn't Neverland, it would most definitely be something Disney related.

A friend of mine is having a boy and doing Steamboat Willie. She posted pictures on facebook, and it's going to be so adorable!

Any upcoming appointments?: tomorrow is my regular monthly appt

Updates/Rants/Raves/AW Moments?: within the past 2 weeks baby has really started kicking! Its so fun to lay in bed at night and just wait for her to do her thing.

GTKY: What is your favorite Holiday song? probably Mariah Carey "All I want for Christmas"

Head of lettuce

Any upcoming appointments?:
Fetal echocardiogram tomorrow at 1pm. I'm not that worried about it but none the less please keep fingers crossed that all looks good!

We painted the baby's room and got the furniture in there.
