reintro and question

So I have been gone for awhile, since like 20 weeks and now that I'm back I'll do a quick reintro. I have a 3yo dd and an almost 18 month old ds. Ds2 was a complete surprise. So I will have 3, 3 and under :). I hope this explains my absence two toddlers can be a lot! I know I posted a breech question the other day. I have been checking out spinning babies and my doctor brought version. I'm pretty scared of having someone manually flip my baby but I'm also terrified of a csection. I know, I know he's healthy be happy I am. I'm just used to easy births and recoveries. Anyone have a version was it successful?

    I've never had a version, but how far along are you? I'm mobile and can't see signatures. Hopefully baby will flip on his own!

    Welcome back! My OB performed a version on herself before delivering her baby. She said it's pretty uncomfortable but it beats a c-section (her words).

    Your OB sounds like a beast. Does she eat nails and wrestle with bears?
    Haha I'll have to ask. It was her last baby (has 3 other kids) so I guess she just really wanted to go out with a bang.

    No experience with a version (yet - fx that u/s tomorrow shows my baby has turned) but from everything I read, the success rates are higher after your first pregnancy - so that's hopeful?

    Yes, but I left out my amniotic fluid is low.

    Jan 1st, I'll be 37 weeks tomorrow when I have it done. The OB said it's 20-25% effective here because no meds are used (unlike many places in the States) so they can't use as much force. He said I have a little bit better odds, being a STM. Worth a shot I figure, I'd rather a little pain then a C-section if it can be avoided :)

    Last night in my Lamaze class the instructor brought up an alternative method to flip the baby which she said works much more often than a version - a chiropractic adjustment called the Webster technique. Maybe look into that?

    Yep I had one. And it was uncomfortable...brought tears to my eyes. But it worked! The actually hands on procedure took about 5 minutes. Labor is also painful, but lasts waaaay longer, and we moms can find ways to handle it. I quickly recovered, baby was fine. I felt lucky to get to delivery vaginally. I didn't want the extra recovery time from a c-section while chasing a toddler & nursing a newborn. I think it's worth a try & would do it again if I needed to!

    My homeopath recommended a remedy for flipping babies. My chiropractor also said he had some tricks... so far babies girls have been cooperative in their positioning. Hopefully wont need to test the other options.... good luck to you!
